History of construction
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Guoli, Wanxian county.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Wuqiao township was established.
In September 1958, Wuqiao commune was established in Wuqiao township.
In May 1984, Wuqiao commune was restored to Wuqiao township.
In September 1988, Wuqiao township was removed and Wuqiao town was built.
In December 1998, Wuqiao town was removed and divided into bai'anba street and Wuqiao street with national highway 318 (Wanchuan Avenue) as the boundary.
