Xiaao Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Du'an Yao Autonomous County, Hechi City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the north of Du'an Yao Autonomous County, bordering Daxing Township, Shui'an Township and Banling Township in the East, longfu Township and Daxing Township in the south, Bansheng Township and longfu township of Du'an County in the west, and Baoping township of Jinchengjiang District in the north. The people's government is located in Xiaao street, Xiaao village, 50 kilometers away from the county people's government. The administrative area is 353.52 square kilometers.

Before 1949, it belonged to Xiaao and Guanglong townships of Hechi county. In January 1950, the two townships and longfu Township merged into the Fourth District, which belongs to Hechi county. In September 1953, Xiaao Yao Autonomous Region was established, belonging to Hechi county. In December 1955, it was assigned to Du'an Yao Autonomous County, known as Xiaao district. In 1984, Xiaao commune was transformed into a township. By the end of 2018, the population of the registered residence in the lower town was 45939. As of June 2020, Xiaao town has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 19 administrative villages. The town people's government is located in Xiaao street, Xiaao village.
