The lush forest, excellent atmosphere and water quality are like a huge "natural oxygen bar" and "urban green lung". Zhaoping is one of the top ten fat producing bases in China, one of the four major forestry counties in Guangxi, the national advanced afforestation County, the national top 100 afforestation County, and the first batch of afforestation model counties in Guangxi. Water resources
Zhaoping County is one of the first rural electrification counties in China. Many rivers in the area belong to Guijiang river system. Guijiang river flows through seven towns in the county from north to south, with 14 large tributaries, including Siqin River, Guihua River, Jiulong River, Fugun River and Linjiang river. At present, it has been found out that the theoretical reserve of water resources in the county is 385000 kW, the technical development capacity is 252000 kW, and 44 power stations are planned to be built in the county.
Human history
The town was first called Huibo village in the Northern Song Dynasty, and was renamed Qijian village in the Southern Song Dynasty. It was not until the middle of the Yuan Dynasty that it was officially named "Beituo" because the four rivers of waibojing, tongbojing, Dongjing and Zhangjing gathered here. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, the writer Tao Zongyi led his family to live in seclusion here and built "South Village thatched cottage" in the south of Surabaya, while the book collector sun Daoming built "Yingxue Zhai" in the north of Surabaya. In the late Yuan Dynasty, it became a market town, known as "beituoli". Ming Zhengde years renamed "Beituo city.". Qibao xushou invested to build nine stone bridges along the North Bank of Puhuitang. The traffic between Qibao and Beituo was convenient, and the scale of the town was expanding day by day.
During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (1573-1620), three stone arch bridges with three holes, namely "Pudu", "Fulian" and "Wu'an", were built one after another in beituotang, and Nantang was connected to the north. The market was booming day by day. In the Qing Dynasty, there were many shops and buildings on both sides of the stone street, and the town was "full of industries, prosperous registered permanent residence, crisscross streets and alleys, facing each other by bridges".
The nearby countryside is rich in "thin rice" and "fragrant japonica" and other kinds of rice, and the town's rice market is Su Sheng. On the eve of the Anti Japanese War, there were 37 rice shops and 12 rice mills in Xiatang along the river, with the highest trading volume of more than 2000 stones (about 158 tons) per day. It became the main rice distribution center of 18 market towns in Dongxiang, and the trading scope was as far as Shanghai, Nanhui and Chuansha.
During the period of Anti Japanese War, the Qing army going south, the Taiping Army attacking Shanghai and the Anti Japanese War, the town suffered from many war disasters. In particular, the Japanese invasion destroyed two-thirds of the houses in the town, razed the eastern half of the town to the ground, and drastically reduced the number of permanent residents. After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, prices soared, the people were in dire need of livelihood, and the market still did not recover.
At the beginning of liberation, the county people's government was established in the town. The county government moved to the city. Beituo is the seat of the town people's government and one of the centers of political, economic and cultural activities in the northern part of the county. In 1985, there was one sub district office, five residents committees and 101 residents groups in the town. There are 2718 households with 7270 people, including 3727 women. There are 3700 township government agencies and township enterprises and institutions working in the town, 660 agricultural households.
After the liberation, the town's construction business is booming, and gradually developed from a commercial consumption market town to a town dominated by industrial production. In 1985, there were 22 factories and enterprises in the town, including 7 municipal and county enterprises and 15 Township and town enterprises, with 4929 employees and a total industrial output value of 98.74 million yuan. The categories of production and processing include chemical industry, electronic components, thermal instruments, rubber products, fire-fighting chemicals, rice milling, brewing, flannelette, etc.
