Wenli town belongs to Lingshan County, Qinzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is located at the southwest end of Lingshan County. It faces the big town of Pubei County across the river in the East, Shiwan Town of Hepu County in the south, Wuli Town in the north and bolao town in the West.

Historical evolution

From Jiaqing to 1926, jinwenli town belonged to wulilian. In 1927, the League training system was abolished and Wenli township was established, belonging to the eighth district. In 1941, the county was divided into four districts, and Wenli was the second district. After liberation, it was still called "Wenli township". in December 1949, along with the lingnante division, Hepu County was under the management. He returned to Lingshan County on January 10, 1950. In September 1958, "Wenli township" was renamed "Wenli people's commune"; in October of the same year, it was merged into Lingnan people's commune (located in Wuliwei). In June 1961, the county was divided into eight districts, Wenli district is Wuli district. In January 1963, the district under the county was abolished, and Wenli and Shengping communes were merged into "Wenli people's commune". In September 1984, the people's commune was abolished and the system of township (town) was restored. in January 1994, the county implemented the town system, renamed Wenli town.

In 1994, 15 administrative villages in the town were connected with roads, and cars could enter each natural village. the external traffic of Wenli town mainly depends on highways, and there is national highway g209 crossing the town. In December 2009, the second-class highway expansion project of Tanwei Wuli section of national highway 209 was started, and the road was changed from Wuli to Wenli out of Shiwan Town of Hepu County; by the end of 2010, the subgrade and bridge construction of the project was basically completed.

Famous people

Su Shiqing (1909-1945) was born in Xiangshan village, Wenli town. He used to be the vice captain of Lingnan squadron of the people's Anti Japanese Liberation Army in Nanlu. In March 1945, he took part in the Lingnan armed uprising led by Su Xianshu and was incorporated into the Lingnan squadron of the South Road Anti Japanese people's Liberation Army
