Yintan town

Yintan Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Yinhai District, Beihai City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the southwest of Yinhai District, connecting Pingyang town in the East, guantouling coast in the west, Yintan in the South and Haicheng District in the north, with a total administrative area of 79 square kilometers.

In ancient times, it is a part of Hepu County, the ancient county of Nanzhu. In 2005, the two towns of Xitang and Xiantian were sold and Yintan town was established. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Silver Beach town was 43690. As of June 2020, Yintan town has 7 communities and 11 administrative villages.

In 2017, the economic fixed assets investment of Yintan town was 13.552 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 48.55%; the total output value of industries above designated size was 57.77 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1%; the industrial investment was 804 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 44.5%. The per capita disposable income of farmers was 16134 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10%.

History of construction

In ancient times, it is a part of Hepu County, the ancient county of Nanzhu.

From the beginning of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty to the seventh year of Chenghua (1368-1471), it was Longtan Village and Guli village of "Zhuchang bazhai" (also known as fangwo bazhai) along the coast of Hepu.

In the early Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Jinghai regiment.

In 1961, Xitang commune and Xiantian fishery commune were established, under the direct management of Beihai town.

In September 1984, Beihai city resumed its prefecture level city system, its suburbs were restored, and Xitang commune and Xiantian fishery commune were changed into township system under the jurisdiction of suburbs.

In December 1993, Xitang Township and Xiantian Township were transformed into towns.

In January 1995, Beihai city was restructured, its suburbs were abolished, and Yinhai district was established. Xitang town and Xiantian town were under the jurisdiction of Yinhai district.

In June 2005, the two towns of Xitang and Xiantian were sold to establish Yintan town.

Yintan town is located in the coastal plain, which is high in the West and low in the East. From east to west, there are muddy sandy beach, sandy beach and gravel beach. The ground elevation is 2-20 meters, the highest point is 125 meters at the top of guantouling, and the lowest point is at baihutou beach, 2 meters above sea level.

There is only one fengjiajiang River in Yintan Town, starting from liyudi reservoir in the East and entering the sea through quwan village and Xiantian village in the west, with a total length of about 3 km.

natural disaster

The main natural disasters in Yintan town are flood, strong wind, drought, diseases and insect pests, low temperature, cold damage, hail, earthquake, etc. Flood mainly occurs from June to September. In rainy season, it mostly occurs in fengjiajiang, which is mainly caused by torrential rain. Due to its location in coastal areas, wind disasters occur 2-3 times a year under the influence of typhoons and tornadoes, with a maximum of 8 times. Due to the uneven distribution of seasonal rainfall, drought occurs early every year. In recent years, two of the most serious droughts occurred. From May to June in 1989, the rainfall in the area was less than 160 mm; from February to April in 1998, the rainfall in the area was less than 700 mm, 1500 mu of affected farmland and 900 mu of no harvest.

The main mineral resources in Yintan town are quartz placer, which starts from Daguansha in the East, passes south of Longtan, baihutou and dianbailiao to dadunhai in the west, with a length of about 16 kilometers, an area of 6.03 square kilometers, and a thickness of about 2-7 meters. The reserves of kaolin in the southwest of Longtan Village are 603800 tons. The proven reserves of clay in beibeiling and Daguansha are 52.837 million tons.
