In the implementation of the strategy of "enriching town by base", Lingjiao town and Guangxi Academy of forestry sciences have set up three characteristic forestry industrialization bases through the construction of demonstration sites to drive farmers to vigorously develop planting industry. One is the fast-growing forest base of Pinus massoniana. Lingjiao town not only uses science and technology to carry out efficient and standardized planting demonstration, but also takes the market as the guidance, through the government guidance, makes the reasonable circulation of mountain management right, forms the intensive scale planting and the growing number of people's spontaneous planting. Cultural relics in the town
Site of Mengling ancient city
Mengling ancient city site is located in Lingjiao Town, Cangwu County, Wuzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. According to Cangwu county annals of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty, Mengling county was set up in the sixth year of Yuanding (111 BC) of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty, and changed its name to Mengling County in the eighth year of Zhenguan of Tang Dynasty (634 BC). As the seat of county administration, it has a history of more than 1000 years and is one of the longest existing counties in ancient Lingnan One. In the early days of its establishment, Mengling county had a relatively broad jurisdiction, including Pingnan County, Teng County, Renhe county and Lingjiao county. After the reign of Weiwu emperor in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (345-361), the jurisdiction of Mengling was reduced to Renhe and Lingjiao.
Why did the ancients set up a county government in Mengling village, which was inconvenient by land, for thousands of years?
According to the map, Mengling village of Lingjiao town (yuanrenhe town) is located at the intersection of Xunjiang River and Anping River, which is very convenient in water transportation. This is not difficult to understand: in the case of more kaolin in the south of Guling mountain and relatively backward land transportation, Mengling village, which has convenient water transportation and is close to Cangwu Qunfu, naturally becomes the first choice of the county government.
As a thousand year old county government, does Mengling village still have county government, city walls, Polders and other relics?
With these questions, I curiously walked into GUYULING county and searched all over the village... Unfortunately, all I could find were the thousand year old ancient banyan beside the river and the beautiful stone carving of "xuxinshe" half buried under the ancient banyan. Because of its long history, the old county town is near the river, often washed by floods, and most of it has been buried underground. Even the county yamen site has long been covered by vegetable fields.
