Anji Township
Anji township is located in the northeast of Rongshui Miao Autonomous County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, in the hinterland of Yuanbao mountain, 54 kilometers away from Rongshui County, 40 kilometers away from Rongan county and 170 kilometers away from Liuzhou city. It is adjacent to Rong'an County in the East, Antai Township in the west, Rongshui Township and Sirong Township in the south, Xiangfen Township in the southwest, Dalang Township and Baiyun Township in the north. The total area is 296.06 square kilometers. The forest area of the township is 257100 mu, the storage capacity is 545400 cubic meters, and the coverage rate is 68.3%. It has jurisdiction over 13 village committees and 109 natural villages in Jiangmen, Dayu, Yangling, Longkou, Nuanping, Jiutong, Sanchun, Sixi, Xintang, Dashan, Datian, Wuji and Jiman. By the end of 2017, there were 17038 permanent residents. Miao, Yao, Dong, Zhuang, Han, Tujia and other nationalities live together, and the Miao population accounts for 60% of the total population. Yuanbaoshan is the first peak of Rongshui and the third peak of Guangxi, Yuanbaoshan (2081 meters above sea level).
Historical evolution
Before liberation
In the Qing Dynasty, Anji belonged to Beijiang regiment, and in the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to central district and harmonious District successively. After liberation, it successively belonged to Xiangfen district and the Tenth District. After 1952, it was called Anji District, after 1959, it was called Anji commune, and in 1984, it was renamed Anji township. In 1930, Anji was located in Rongxian (after liberation, it was divided into Rongshui and Rongan) and Sanjiang border area. The society was chaotic, and it was a place where bandits gathered. After the county government sent troops to suppress it, the society was stable, so it was called Anji (stable border). This name is still used today.
After liberation
Before the founding of new China, nine administrative level Township offices were set up in Anji District, including Dayu, Yangling, Nuanping, Jiutong, Wuji, Jiman, Datian, Jiangmen and Sixi. Rongshui Miao Autonomous County was established on November 26, 1952. On February 10, 1958, Anji district was dissolved, and Anji people's Commune and Datian people's commune were established respectively. They joined forces in 1963 and renamed Anji Township People's Government in 1984. In 1987, the original village committee was changed to the village office, and in 1994, the village office was changed to the village committee. From 1936 to 1948, Xintang (the whole village), Sijia and yuhonggou in Dashan, Siling and tongquantiantun in Sixi were under the jurisdiction of Danzhou town in Sanjiang County. In 1952, in order to delimit the county boundaries, Sanjiang and Rongshui counties agreed to be under the jurisdiction of Rongshui from Dalang (mashihe) to Liangzhai in Rongjiang. Since then, Xintang, Dashan, Sixi and their natural villages have all been under the jurisdiction of Anjian, and village level organizations have been reorganized. From then on, the upper, middle and lower caokou under Sixi's original jurisdiction have been under the jurisdiction of Jiutong village, while Dashan, yuhonggou, Chaping, Sijia and Dapinggou under datianyuan's jurisdiction Xiaopinggou and hongkoutang are under the jurisdiction of Dashan Village. Jiuyang is under the jurisdiction of Xintang village. In 1962, in order to facilitate management, the four natural villages of Sixi were divided into one administrative village, namely, Sancun village. When the production responsibility system was implemented in 1984, with the approval of the Standing Committee of the people's Congress of the county, 11 natural villages under the jurisdiction of Yangling County, including Danzhu, miaobaichao, zhongdashan, shangdashan, Niupeng, lijiapung, huheping, Longkou, Datian, Zhouwei and Hewei, were merged into one administrative village, namely Longkou village.

On December 4, 1930, the Red Army of the two routes met in Dapo village, Xiangfen township. That night, they held a pledge meeting to attack Chang'an town. In the early morning of the 5th, the red army arrived at the outskirts of Chang'an town at about 3 p.m. after passing through Nuanping, Jiangmen, Yangling, Niulanshan and other places in Anji township. At about 6 p.m., the red army launched an attack. At that time, there were more than 2000 people in the Han Caifeng Department of the third independent division of the Kuomintang in Chang'an Town, more than 1000 in the Qin Lianfang department, and more than 300 in the Chang'an militia detachment, with a total of more than 3300 people fighting back. As the Kuomintang Yang Tenghui led more than 2000 reinforcements, the red army fought fiercely for three days and nights and failed to enter the town, so it withdrew from its position late at night on the 8th. In this battle, more than 300 people were killed or injured by the seventh Red Army and more than 600 people were killed or injured by the Kuomintang army. The seventh Red Army crossed Anji Township twice. It passed through Jiangmen, Datian, Dashan, heikui, huangnai, Gaowen and other places in Anji, and went northward through Sanjiang County.

Anji township is rich in natural resources. Since ancient times, it is famous for its rich production of Chinese fir and bamboo. It is one of the main timber producing areas in the county. It is known as the "hometown of timber". At present, it has a timber stock of 600000 cubic meters, 4667 hectares of bamboo, and annual bamboo cutting of more than 400000. There are more than ten kinds of proven mineral products, such as tin, antimony, iron, copper, granite, barite, Anji bluestone, etc. among them, the reserves of tin and barite are the largest. The jiumou-101 tin mining area and Longkou hongchaao barite mining area in the area under its jurisdiction generate an annual tax of more than 1 million yuan. The main rare animals are black bear, pangolin, monkey, wild boar, etc.; the rare plants are Abies yuanbaoshanensis, Podocarpus luohansong, Bole tree, Taxus chinensis, Alsophila spinulosa, purple wood, Dalbergia, Phoebe, hypericum, etc. The main local products are shiitake mushroom, agaric, yulanpian, tea, Shatian pomelo, winter bamboo shoots, dried bamboo shoots, lily, etc.
Bamboo and wood resources
Anji has been famous for its rich production of Chinese fir and bamboo since ancient times. It is one of the main timber producing areas in the county and is known as the "hometown of timber". The forest coverage rate is 68%, including timber forest of 239608.5 mu, economic forest of 25087.5 mu, bamboo forest of 10248 mu, and bamboo stock of 520838 cubic meters.
mineral resources
Anju is rich in mineral resources. There are more than ten kinds of proven mineral resources, such as tin, zinc, antimony, copper, kaolin, granite, barite, bluestone, uranium, etc. among them, tin ore reserves are the largest, known as "Liuzhou tin capital". Anji township is the largest tin mining base in the county, with proven reserves of about 60000 tons and mining capacity of 20000 tons. Tin, zinc, copper and other metal ores are mainly distributed in jiumou mining area, 101 mining area, 109 mining area, 108 mining area of Datian village, shangliuxiu and xialiuxiu Miaozhai, kaolin is mainly distributed in Jiman village, barite is mainly distributed in Longkou village committee. Mining is the pillar industry of the township, 90% of the revenue comes from mineral tax.
Hydropower resources
The main river of Siwei river is about 30 kilometers long, winding through the whole territory of Anji Township and converging into Rongjiang river. The drainage area of Siwei River in Anju is about 260 square kilometers. There are many rivers in the area, such as Siwei River, Datian River, Xintang River, Yangling River and Dayu river. Nuanping River and caokou river flow into Siwei River in Jiangmen village, where the township government is located. There are Dangjiu hydropower station, Siou hydropower station, Siwei River hydropower station and many other hydropower stations in the territory. The rivers of Jiman and Wuji in Yuanbaoshan District are high in altitude and large in drop, which contain huge water energy resources, so many hydropower stations can be built. The 2.4 million kilowatt energy storage power station in Jiman Gaoping has been put on the development agenda. This county is one of the three rainstorm centers in Guangxi, and Anji Township belongs to this center area.
Economic situation
In 2003, on the basis of stabilizing grain production, the township optimized the agricultural industrial structure, vigorously developed star anise, Yellow Gardenia and other economic forest varieties with short cycle and high benefit, and formed a characteristic emerging industry focusing on Yellow Gardenia and star anise.
