Liyong town
Liyong town is located in the southeast of Yufeng District, Liuzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, adjacent to Xiangzhou County, Luzhai County, Baisha Town of Yufeng District, Chuanshan town of Liujiang district and Liuxing company. 35 km away from Liuzhou City, Liujiang River flows through Liyong.
Evolution of organizational system
Tanzhong county was set up in Han Dynasty, and Maping county was changed in Sui Dynasty. It was transferred to Liuzhou Prefecture in 1912, restored in 1913, changed to Liuzhou County in 1931, and changed to Liujiang County in 1937. On October 8, 1983, the State Council approved (Guo Han No. 215) to put Liucheng and Liujiang counties in Liuzhou under the jurisdiction of Liuzhou city.
In 1996, Liujiang County governed 5 towns and 8 townships: Chengtuan Town, Ligao Town, Jinde Town, Labao Town, Luoman Town, Sandu Town, Tubo Town, Baisha Town, Baipeng Town, Liyong Town, Chuanshan Town, Liushan town and Futang town. The county government is located in Labao town.
On January 19, 1999, the government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (GZH No. 13) agreed to change Tubo and Liyong townships into towns. After the two townships were changed into towns, the original administrative areas remained unchanged.
According to the fifth census in 2000, the total population of Liujiang county is 523300. Among them, there are 27710 people in Liyong town.
In March 2016, the State Council approved Liuzhou city to abolish Liujiang county and establish Liujiang District of Liuzhou city. Liyong town belongs to Liujiang district.
In May 2017, the Standing Committee of Liuzhou municipal Party committee held a meeting and passed the plan of adjusting the administrative divisions of some municipal districts in Liuzhou city. Liyong town and Baisha Town in Liujiang district are designated as Yufeng District.
In May 2018, the people's Government of the autonomous region issued the reply of the people's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on agreeing to adjust some administrative divisions of Liuzhou City (GZH [2018] No. 78), agreeing to adjust the administrative divisions of Liujiang district and Yufeng District of Liuzhou City, and dividing Liyong town and Baisha Town of Liujiang District into Yufeng District. After the adjustment of some administrative divisions in the municipal area, Yufeng District governs 8 streets including Tianma, Jiahe, Rongjun, jianpanshan, Wuliting, Bailian, Qilin, Yanghe and 4 towns including Luorong, Luobu, Baisha and Liyong; Liujiang District governs 10 towns including Labao, Chuanshan, Jinde, Baipeng, Sandu, Ligao, Tubo, Chengtuan, Luoman and Liushan.
On May 31, 2018, Liuzhou city held the administrative division adjustment of Liujiang district and Yufeng District and the trusteeship handover ceremony of Luoman town and Liushan town. So far, Liyong and Baisha towns in Liujiang district were officially under the jurisdiction of Yufeng District.

Local conditions
In the hilly area of the town, Liujiang River flows through it. The total area of cultivated land in the town is 272 square kilometers, with 70039 mu of cultivated land, including 21846 mu of paddy field and 48192 mu of dry land. With a total population of 30594 (2017), the small watershed has a unique climate and fertile land, which is suitable for subtropical fruit cultivation and development.

The main crops are rice and sugarcane, as well as corn, cassava, peanut, red melon seeds, soybeans and head vegetables. The annual total grain output is 14800 tons, the planting area of sugar cane is 31000 mu, and the total output is 154000 tons. The forest is dominated by Chinese fir, pine and Eucalyptus urophylla, and the economic forests are Shatian pomelo, chestnut, persimmon, Camellia oleifera, sugar orange, hybrid bamboo, etc. Liyong head vegetables and Shatian pomelo are the characteristic products of Liyong town. The main producing area of Shatian pomelo is Jitian, and the main producing area of head vegetables is Zhongchang. There is a saying that "Jitian Shatian pomelo is the first dish of Zhongchang".
economic development
In 2005, the total agricultural output value of the town was 109 million yuan, the total industrial output value was 117 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 2420.2 yuan. Honghua water control project with an investment of 2 billion yuan, Yanchong village of Guangshi village, an autonomous region level civilized village, is developing hebiao Industrial Park.
Education development
There are 2 middle schools and 12 primary schools in the town. General secondary schools include: Liyong middle school has been closed (students have moved to No.2 Middle School) and Liyong No.2 Middle School. Primary schools mainly include: Liyong hope primary school, Longjiang primary school, longtuan primary school, hebiao primary school, Jitian primary school, etc. Among them, Liyong Hope Primary School of South Hong Kong lions association is the largest primary school in the town. It was built with the joint donation of Hong Kong lions Association and Taiwan Tainan lions Association in 1997, which greatly improved the school running conditions of Liyong primary school. Therefore, it was renamed Liyong Hope Primary School of South Hong Kong lions Association. The high-level lions association also attended the school use ceremony in person, which is a major event in Liyong history. The current president is Zhuo Lihai.
