Rencun town
Rencun town is located in the "East Gate" of Xinxing County. It is the economic, cultural and business center in the east of Xinxing County, and the intersection of Kaiping, Enping and Gaoming. It is also a professional town of technological innovation in Guangdong Province. Provincial Highway S113, S274 and county highway x534 run through the north and south of the town.
With a total area of 112.45 square kilometers, the town has 16 Village (neighborhood) committees and a total population of 39800 (in 2019). Rencun Town, with mild climate and rich resources, is a well-known "land of fish and rice". There are many kinds of "famous, rare and excellent" fruits and vegetables, and rich in water, forest, mineral resources. It is one of the areas with the most superior natural ecological environment in the city.
Rencun town has a large amount of granite, kaolin, tin ore and other mineral resources, rich in forest resources. It is one of the most advantageous areas in the city's natural ecological environment. The regional climate is mild, and there are many kinds of "famous, rare and excellent" fruits and vegetables. It is a well-known "land of fish and rice". At present, there are some local specialties such as denim bone, rencunlai powder, white soil water celery, Yunli black skin wax gourd, cencunfenge, banana and so on. In addition, building materials and ceramics, stainless steel products, chemical industry, leather goods and other industries are developing in a coordinated way.
In 2008, he was awarded the title of ceramic products professional town in Guangdong Province.
Evolution of organizational system
In April 1369, Xinzhou was changed into Xinxing County, with eight capitals in the county, and Rencun village was subordinate to the capital.
In 1647, Xinxing County had four capitals, and Rencun village was subordinate to the capital.
In the first year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty (1851), five roads were set up in Xinxing County, and Rencun was subordinate to the East Road Department.
In 1910, Xinxing County set up six districts, and Rencun district was subordinate to the second district office.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Xinxing County set up six districts, and Rencun district was subordinate to the second district office.
In 1941, Xinxing County set up two districts. Minle Township, Heping Township, and Renbi township (Rencun Bitang merged) in Rencun district were subordinate to the first district office.

After the liberation of Xinxing County in October 1949, Rencun town was the Second District of six districts and one town under the jurisdiction of Xinxing County. The second district had jurisdiction over seven townships: Dongcheng, Donghe, Jing'an, Renbi, Minle, Heping and Taian. That is now Rencun, Dongcheng, shuitai town. Each village of Rencun town is under the jurisdiction of the following townships:

Heping Township governs 16 villages: Gaocun, Qingshuitang, daluxin, Lucun, qiangyen, pingkang, tanpinggang, Wayao, Batang, xianrenping, Chenhe, linglaid-off, Beijiang, Chayuan, Lingzui and liuzhutang. Beihe village is under the jurisdiction of Jing'an township. Picun, buchen and Duojiao are governed by Donghe township.

At this time, the commune has jurisdiction over 25 production brigades and one farm within the scope of Rencun town.

In May 1963, Dongcheng commune was merged into Rencun commune, which was called Rencun commune. In May 1964, Rencun commune was divided into Rencun commune and Dongcheng commune. At this time, 14 brigades were under the jurisdiction of Rencun commune. Central field (miaoping) and Qingshuitang field were merged into Rencun group and Gaocun group respectively.
From May 1966 to March 1968, it was renamed Management Committee of Rencun commune and production brigade management committee.
