Gangmei town is located in the south of Yangchun City, in the middle and lower reaches of Moyang River, in the south of the county, Southeast of Yangjiang county. It is adjacent to Tanshui and Hekou town in the West and Chuncheng and Mashui in the north. Historical evolution
In 1429, the Li people of Gangmei town built the dyke in the east of luohangang, which is called "Dawu". In 1480, people surnamed Li moved to the end of luohangang to build a Polder, which was renamed gangweixu. In September 1959, it took the homonym of "Mei" and "Wei" and changed its name to "Gangmei". There are only two small kiosks in the original polder field. Since 1958, the polder field has been expanded to the northeast, to Gangmei, Hekou and Chuncheng. It is adjacent to the trading place of villagers' agricultural and sideline products, covering an area of 1 square kilometer. It is the residence of Gangmei town government and has a residents committee. Lunshuiwei, 8 kilometers east of gangmeiwei, is the junction of Yangchun and Yangjiang. In the first year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1573), a Polder was built by Xie people in Shuizhai. Yangchun and Yangjiang were adjacent to the trading places of farmers' agricultural and sideline products. Since 1978, the area has been expanded from the south side of the polder to both sides of gongza of Chunjiang River, nearly doubling to 0.6 square kilometers.
