Linzhai town is located in the southeast of Heping County, Heyuan City, Guangdong Province. By 2019, the town has a total area of 92.84 square kilometers, under the jurisdiction of one neighborhood committee and 11 village committees, with a total number of more than 6900 households and a population of about 31000, of which the She nationality accounts for about 1%, with more than 300 overseas Chinese and compatriots from Hong Kong and Macao. Beijing Kowloon railway passes through the town from northwest to Southeast, with linzhai station.
In 2017, linzhai town achieved a total industrial and agricultural output value of 201 million yuan.
Linzhai village was announced by the Ministry of housing and urban rural development as the Sixth Batch of Chinese historical and cultural villages, and the first batch of villages listed in the list of Chinese traditional villages.

Linzhai town is located in the southeast of Heping County, adjacent to Dongshui town in the East, Lishi town in the south, Gongbai town in the West and pengzhai town in the north, 35 kilometers away from Heping County. The total area of the town is 92.84 square kilometers, with 106500 mu of forest land and 15000 mu of cultivated land.
Topographical River
Linzhai town is mostly low mountains and hills, surrounded by mountains, flat and open in the middle. Wujiang River flows from west to East through linzhai town to Dongjiang River.

Linzhai town has three main land transportation routes (provincial road 229 and County Road), which lead to Heping, Jiangxi and Shaoguan in the north, Longchuan in the East and Heyuan in the south. The Beijing Kowloon railway passes through the town from northwest to Southeast, and there is a grade 4 railway station in kexi'ao.
History and culture
The origin of the name
It is said that at the end of the Qin Dynasty, Zhao Tuo, the king of Nanyue, sent a leader surnamed Lin to build a stronghold to defend against the enemies from the north. When people named the stronghold after him, it was called "linzhai".
