It is located in hilly area, on the upper reaches of Dongjiang River, 12 km away from Fengshuba hydropower plant in the north, Chetian town in the west, Huangshi town and Longmu town in the south, with an area of 137.01 square kilometers (2017). There are more mountains and less land in the town, including 154000 mu of mountain forest and 18500 mu of cultivated land. Meizikeng, the beautiful name of Lizui in Longchuan, has something to do with the water in Lizui. The famous Longchuan mineral water and Huoshan mineral water come from here. In 1990, Longchuan mineral water became the designated mineral drink for the 11th Asian Games. Longchuan mineral water has won more than 30 national ministerial and provincial gold, silver and quality awards. The meizikeng spring was discovered by a geological team. In 1960, when the provincial geological team worked near Meizi mountain, it was found that on the rock at the root of the mountain, crystal clear drops of water kept falling on the puddle under the rock, but the puddle was a clear spring with hot air. At that time, a geologist had a stomachache, so he took a cup of salty mountain spring and drank it. Strange to say, after a while, his stomach didn't hurt. It spread from one story to another, and the masses all said that meizishan had discovered "fairy water" which can cure all kinds of diseases. Meizi mountain is famous as far as Jiangxi and Fujian, and as close as the eight townships nearby, people carrying bottles and jars come to Meizi mountain to pick up the "fairy water". according to the scientific and technological research and identification of the Ministry of light industry of the people's Republic of China, in addition to a certain amount of potassium, sodium, calcium and natural carbonate gas, the spring water also contains more than 10 kinds of trace elements necessary for human body, such as magnesium, iron, cadmium, zinc, strontium and lithium, which are close to the standards necessary for human body. The annual output is 15000 to 50000 tons, and the products are sold by them. But at the beginning of the reform and opening up, due to various reasons, it did not come true. In 1983, a Hong Kong company came to cooperate. The first 180 tons of products were sold out in a few days after they were transported to Hong Kong. However, the company's resources were limited, and its utilization capacity was only 2000 tons or 3000 tons. A large amount of mineral water gushed out of the thick pipes at the mouth of the bowl and was wasted. Wei Qizhen, 78, the first general manager of Longchuan mineral water plant, said that the annual flow of the three springs in meizikeng is 270000 tons, and the annual flow of the No. 1 spring is 240000 tons, all of which are spurted from the depth of 3000 meters without any external interference. It is considered that the water quality characteristic indexes of the three discovered spring spots have all reached the standard of natural mineral water, and the water quantity, temperature and quality of the spring water are dynamically stable.
