Tangpeng Town, belonging to Lianjiang City, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, is located in the northwest of Lianjiang City, connecting Hechun town and Jishui town in the southeast, Shiling Town in the south, Changshan town in the west, Bobai County in Guangxi Province in the north, and Heliao town in the northeast. The area is 160 square kilometers (2018).

Historical evolution
Tangpeng town was built in 1532, the 11th year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty. It was named tenglongwei because of tenglongan in the north. In 1561, it was renamed tengpengwei.
In the Qing Dynasty, Huang Zhaotang, a squire, changed his name to Tangpeng with the idea of "flourishing foundation industry of Zhaotang", and the town was named after the polder.
In the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, it was Tangpeng regiment, the seventh district of Shicheng County.
In 1934, it was changed to district.
In 1939, it was Tangpeng Township, the seventh district of Lianjiang county.
In 1950, it was the seventh district of Lianjiang county.
In February 1953, it belongs to the 13th District of Lianjiang county.
On January 18, 1957, it was Tangpeng District of Lianjiang county.
On October 1, 1958, it belonged to Yuejin commune of Lianjiang county.
On January 21, 1959, it belonged to Yuejin commune of leibei county.
In 1961, Tangpeng commune was established.
