Weiyuanbao Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Kaiyuan city, Tieling City, Liaoning Province, is located in the northeast of Kaiyuan city, adjacent to dujiadian town and Chengping Manchu Township of Xifeng County in the East, yangmulinzi town of Qinghe District in the south, Chengdong Township in the West and Changtu town of Changtu County in the North, with an administrative area of 176.78 square kilometers.

In 1948, it was divided into nine districts; in 1985, it was changed into weiyuanpu town. By the end of 2018, the population of Weiyuan town registered residence was 14599. As of June 2020, weiyuanbao town has 11 administrative villages.

In 2011, the total financial revenue of weiyuanpu town was 87 million yuan, an increase of 8% over the previous year. Among them, local fiscal revenue was 72 million yuan, an increase of 10% over the previous year. The per capita net income of farmers is 11243 yuan.
