Tangxia town

Tangxia Town, Pengjiang district, Jiangmen City is located in the central and southern part of Guangdong Province, the hinterland of Pearl River Delta. It is adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao, and connected with Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai and other coastal open port cities, special economic zones and economic open zones. Tangxia is a golden land for real estate investment. Xijiang River, the third largest river in China, flows through the whole town from north to south. In 1952, it belonged to the third district. In 1955, it was Tangxia district. In early 1958, it was divided into three townships: Tangxia, Zhoujun and Tianhe. In 1958, it was Tangxia commune. In 1984, it was changed into district. In 1986, it was withdrawn from district to town. In 1996, with an area of 131 square kilometers and a population of 60000, the town government was stationed in tangxiaxu Town, with 24 administrative districts (villages) under its jurisdiction, namely Tongjing, Liantang, Jingkou, Luojiang, Lexi, Sanbao, Zhongxin, Liangxi, Shafu, Gongtian, Xinchang, Shijiao, Zhoujun, Dalin, Renhou, Hengjiang, Huling, Sanhe, Wudong, Tianxiang, Heshan, Beida, Shitou and tangxiaxu. In 2003, it has jurisdiction over one neighborhood committee and 23 administrative villages. In 2004, the former Xinhui City (now Xinhui District) was put under the jurisdiction of Pengjiang district.

In September 2002, Xinhui City was divided into districts, and Tangxia Town, Hetang Town, and Duruan Town, the former county-level Xinhui City, were put under the jurisdiction of Pengjiang district of Jiangmen City.

In March 2015, Binjiang New Area and Tangxia town of Jiangmen City worked together. Under the new management system, the Management Committee of Binjiang New Area entrusted by Pengjiang district was retained, and the party and government organizations of Tangxia town worked together. At the same time, the Management Committee of JIANGSHA demonstration park and the construction coordination group of JIANGSHA demonstration park were abolished. The original functions were managed by the Management Committee of Binjiang New Area and Tangxia town.

Climatic characteristics

Tangxia town is close to the South China Sea and located in the low latitude area. It belongs to the south subtropical marine climate area. It is mild and humid with little frost and no snow. The annual average temperature is about 22 ℃, the annual rainfall is about 2000 mm, and the annual average hourly sunshine is 1916 hours.

Binjiang New Area:

Tangxia town has been included in the development of Binjiang New Area. It is the new and main center of future urban development of Jiangmen City. It is divided into Tiansha area - financial and business exhibition center, JIANGSHA area - Binjiang New Town Industrial Park and Tianhe area - ecological scenic area.

Transportation:

There are high-speed entrances and exits of the Pearl River Delta ring line. Jiangmen Avenue and Guangzhou Zhongjiang expressway will be opened to traffic soon. Guangzhou Foshan Jiangzhu intercity light rail Binjiang station will be built soon. The planned urban rail transit line 1 in Jiangmen City is expected to open.

Jiangshun bridge is located at the south side of Tianhe top, Tangxia Town, Pengjiang district, Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province. It is one of the main projects of "Guangfo river express channel". It crosses the Xijiang River and connects with Foshan expressway network in Xingtan town, Shunde District. Foshan bank connects with Shunfan highway and Gaofu road through interchange, and connects with Xinglong Road, the main line of Shunde District. Jiangmen bank connects Binjiang avenue through interchange, and connects with Binjiang Road The project of Jiangmen section (Jiangmen Avenue) of Guangfo River Expressway is connected with the follow-up construction. The total length of the project route is about 3.58 km, of which the bridge is about 2290 m long, 36.9 m wide, and the maximum span is 700 m. The main bridge of Jiangshun bridge is a double tower cable-stayed bridge, which is designed as a two-way six lane first-class highway. The project is mainly composed of main bridge, East approach bridge, west approach bridge, Xingtan interchange and Binjiang Road interchange. The estimated total investment is about 2.12 billion yuan. The project design of Jiangshun bridge will adopt the cable-stayed bridge scheme. The bridge will be put into trial operation on June 27, 2015.

Binjiang bridge is located in the Jiangnan section of Guangzhou Zhongjiang expressway, across the main stream of Xijiang River between Binjiang New Area and Hetang island. There are Shishan interchange and Hetang interchange on both sides, which is convenient for the transportation of Binjiang New Area and Hetang island to get on and off the expressway. The main bridge is 860 meters long with a main span of 400 meters.

Famous people

Tangxia town is the hometown of Professor Chen Yuan, a famous historian and educator in China. Chairman Mao Zedong called it "national treasure".

Famous scenic spot

Gongkeng sparrow flower is one of the eight scenic spots in Jiangmen. As early as 1958, Premier Zhou Enlai visited tangxiazhou County in person and wrote a brilliant inscription on the theme of "the Zhou county society is full of vigor and vitality, and the heroes count today", encouraging tangxiaren to forge ahead and create more brilliance.

Liangxi village, about 2km north of Tangxia Town, Pengjiang district, borders on Yayao of Heshan, covering an area of 7.56km2. There are 1642 permanent villagers and 506 households. There are more than 500 families in Liangxi ancient village. According to the survey, 80% of them are surnamed Luo, and a few are surnamed Xie and he. According to historical records, in the first year of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty (1131 A.D.), Luo GUI, the ancestor of the southern migration, led 97 families with 36 surnames to settle down in Liangxi village from Zhuji lane, Nanxiong, with his wife and belt. His descendants multiplied in Wuyi of Jiangmen and around the Pearl River Delta. According to experts' research, most of the overseas Chinese in Wuyi of Jiangmen can find their ancestors from the 36 surnames who moved to Liangxi with Luo GUI. Therefore, Luo GUI led the people to move to the south, which became a large-scale migration after Zhuji Lane in Nanxiong in the Song Dynasty.

Binjiang Avenue greenway is located on the Bank of Xijiang River in the east of Tangxia town. It is a good place for people to ride and run, and enjoy beautiful river scenery along the way. It is the main venue of the jianzou marathon held annually in Jiangmen, the capital of overseas Chinese.
