Meisha street, belonging to Yantian District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, is located in the east of Yantian District, with a total area of 21.83 square kilometers. It is connected with Kwai Chung street in Dapeng New District in the East, Yantian street in the west, Hong Kong new territories across the sea in the South and Pingshan street in Pingshan District in the north. As of 2014, the total population of the district was more than 20 thousand, of which 1249 were registered residence. By 2019, it has four communities under its jurisdiction.
Meisha street is an important part of the "Gold Coast" in the east of Shenzhen, 25 kilometers away from the urban area. There are many scenic spots in the area, such as Dameisha Seaside Park, Xiaomeisha resort, Eastern overseas Chinese town, seaside plank road, etc., which receive more than 10 million tourists every year. Known as the "Gold Coast" and "Oriental Hawaii", it is a tourist, entertainment and leisure resort in the east of Shenzhen.

Historical evolution
In October 1983, Meisha street was built, which belongs to Shatoujiao management area.
In January 1990, Shatoujiao management area was merged into Luohu District, and Meisha street was subordinate to Luohu District.
In 1998, Yantian District was established and assigned to Yantian District.
In 1998, Meisha sub district office of Yantian District was established.

cultural relics and historic sites
Meisha street is the first place where Neolithic sites were found in Shenzhen.
In 1980, the Museum of Guangdong Province discovered and excavated the Xiaomeisha site.
In 1992, the archaeological team of Shenzhen Museum excavated the Dameisha site in Dameisha village. It is a tomb of the middle Neolithic age and the bronze age. Ten bronze musical instruments were unearthed. Bronzes unearthed from the tombs of the sand dune site are very rare in Guangdong Province.
In 2000, the cultural relics survey team of Yantian District found beimeisha site in the north of Dameisha village. The site is 300 meters long from east to west and 150 meters wide from south to north. It is a typical sand dune cultural site, and a number of important cultural relics and relics have been unearthed. Archaeologists found a Song Dynasty site at the foot of the West Mountain in Dameisha Bay, and found stone tools and Wenge pottery pieces of the spring and autumn and Warring States Periods on the hillside of the north slope.
