Buji Street
Buji street, belonging to Longgang District of Shenzhen City, is located in the middle of Shenzhen City and the west of Longgang District. It is adjacent to Luohu District in the heart of Shenzhen in the south, Nanwan street in the East and North, and Jihua street in the northwest. Its total area is 11.64 square kilometers. As of October 2019, Buji street has 17 communities under its jurisdiction. As of June 2020, the total population of Buji's streets was 573 thousand, of which 142 thousand and 600 were registered residence.
Buji street is the throat of eastern Guangdong, Fujian, Jiangxi and other places in and out of the central area of Shenzhen. It is located in the geographical center of Shenzhen. It is 4km away from the center of Shenzhen, 8km away from Hong Kong New Territories, 20km away from Yantian port and 35km away from Shenzhen Bao'an airport. The area has developed transportation, with Guangzhou Shenzhen, Beijing Kowloon and Guangzhou Shenzhen high-speed railways passing through the area; the airport lotus, Shuiguan, Qingping expressway, Nanping expressway, Longgang Avenue, Bulong road and other important traffic roads meet here. Shenzhen east railway station, one of the city's three major railway passenger stations, has an average daily passenger flow of 120000 to 130000.
In 2017, Buji Street achieved a GDP of 14.261 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.5%.
Historical evolution
According to the records of Baoan county annals (1997 edition), Buji street once belonged to Nanjiao county (Xia, Shang and Zhou), Panyu county (Qin) and BOLUO county (Han and Three Kingdoms) successively.
Jin Xianhe six years (332), Tang Zhide two years (757), belong to Baoan county.
The second year of Zhide in Tang Dynasty (757) and the first year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty (1573) belong to Dongguan county.
In the first year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1573), it belongs to Xin'an County.
From 1666 to 1669, it belongs to Dongguan county.
Qing Kangxi eight years (1669) to the Republic of China three years (1914), belongs to Xin'an County.
From 1914 to January 1979, it belonged to Bao'an county.
In October 1949, Buji township was subordinate to Bao'an county. In April of the next year, Baoan county was reorganized into four districts, and Buji township was subordinate to the third district.
In October 1952, the district level system was expanded and Buji township was changed into the second district.
In July 1953, the division was adjusted and Buji township was changed into the eighth district.
In the autumn of 1955, the eighth district was renamed Buji District, which belongs to Buji township.
In March 1958, Buji township was directly under the jurisdiction of Bao'an county. In October of the same year, Buji Township and hepinghu Township were abolished and red flag commune was established. In January of the next year, the red flag commune was renamed Buji commune.
From January 1979 to October 1981, it belongs to Shenzhen.
From October 1981 to December 1992, it belongs to Bao'an county.
In July 1983, Buji commune was changed into Buji district.
In August 1986, Buji district was changed into a town.
In January 1993, Bao'an county was divided into Bao'an District and Longgang District. Buji Town belongs to Longgang District.
In 2004, Buji Street office was still under the jurisdiction of Longgang District.
In April 2006, Buji street was divided into three streets: Buji, Nanwan and Bantian.
In December 2016, Buji street was divided into two streets, Buji and Jihua.

The landform of Buji street is mainly hilly and tableland, which is high in the northwest and low in the northeast. It is mainly composed of biotite granite, quartz diorite and albite porphyry, and is located on the Buji songzikeng fault zone. Jigong Mountain is located at the junction of Buji street and Luohu District, and shiyatou mountain is beside Longgang Avenue.

The annual average runoff depth is about 1000mm. The runoff in flood season (April October) accounts for 92% of the annual runoff.

History and culture
The origin of place names
The name of Buji is related to the common name of "Buge". At that time, there was Puge village on the west side of bujiwei and Puge village on the west side of the present railway. Because of the similar pronunciation of PU and bu in Hakka dialect, it was gradually called Puge village in the middle of Qing Dynasty. In 1852, Fenghe polder was built in the south of the village. In 1911, guangjiu railway was opened to traffic, and Buji railway station (now Shenzhen East Railway Station) was set up.

Dafen Village ancestral hall
In Dafen Oil Painting Village, Hong's ancestral hall and Wu's ancestral hall are located in the center of the whole village. These two ancestral halls were built during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty. The gates of Hong's ancestral hall and Wu's ancestral hall, which have a history of several hundred years, are next to each other and receive the worship of future generations. The unity and harmony embodied in these two ancestral halls have become the spiritual symbol of Dafen people. Every wedding and funeral, important festivals, villagers will come here to put wine.
Former residence of Ling daoyang
Ling daoyang's former residence is located in Buji old street, Longgang District. It was built by his grandfather in 1902. It is a two-story brick and wood structure. On the opposite side of the former residence is the Christian Buji hall, with a Ling ancestral hall not far away. There are also five Hakka turrets around, all of which are immovable cultural relics in Longgang District.
