Wanxi Township
Wanxi township is located in the northeast of Hongjiang City, Hunan Province, 89 kilometers away from the city governing Guizhou city. It connects huangmaoyuan town and Xuefengshan forest farm in Xupu County in the East, Tiepo town and Huoshui town in Zhongfang County in the north, and Qunfeng Township in the southwest. The total area of the township is 45.55 square kilometers (2017), accounting for about 1.86% of the total area of the city.
General situation of villages and towns
Before the founding of new China, it belonged to Wanxi township. In 1958, Wanxi people's commune was established. In 1984, Wanxi Township People's government was established.
Administrative division
At the end of 2005, shanxialong, Lishang, gantianyin, Yunfeng, Shuangjiangkou, youzhayan, huashujiao, Hefeng, hengxiao, yangtianlong, haocaiping and Xianfeng were under the jurisdiction of the township, with 94 villager groups and 9424 people (in 2017), including 162 non-agricultural population, with a birth rate of 10.7 ‰ and a natural growth rate of 2.68 ‰.
Natural characteristics
The township has a subtropical humid climate, but due to the influence of mountains, the climate changes greatly. The annual average temperature is 15 ℃, the annual average rainfall is 1750 mm, the annual sunshine hours are 1160-1200 hours, and the annual dominant wind direction is northeast wind. It is a mountainous area. The terrain in the township is rectangular from northeast to southwest. It is high in the southeast and low in the northwest. It is inclined from southeast to northwest. The altitude of the mountain area is between 4 10-1 540 meters. The mountain area is soil parent material, mainly granite and slate shale. The soil is rich and mainly acidic.
Resource characteristics
The cultivated land area of the township is 10412 mu (including 9189 mu of paddy field), the forest land area is 1658.8 hectares, the forest coverage rate is 48%, the volume of standing trees is 14000 cubic meters, and the Camellia oleifera forest is 10500 mu, accounting for 25.2% of the total forest land area of the township. It can produce 25 tons of Camellia oleifera oil every year. In 2005, the Camellia oleifera was changed from low to 100 mu. It is rich in water resources. There are four small power stations with an annual power generation of 2.8 million kwh. Rich in mineral resources, granite reserves of more than 2 billion cubic meters, the end of 2005 has introduced four foreign owners in this mining, stone products are exported to South Korea, Japan, Singapore and other places.
Major industries
In 2005, the total grain output was 2918 tons, and the oil production was 98 tons, including 60 tons of vegetable oil. Traditional Chinese medicine is a new pillar industry in the township, with a planting area of 840 mu, which has created a driving force for the economic development of farmers. The preliminary promotion of seedless watermelon was successful, with a planting area of 50 mu and a yield of 4000 kg per mu. A 100 mu tobacco production base has been built. The beef cattle quality improvement project was started, and 55 farm cattle were cold matched throughout the year. There are 6587 live pigs, 5804 stalls, 450 goats, 1659 dogs and 106000 poultry. The total output value of agriculture reached 12.93 million yuan, the total output value of industry reached 7.1 million yuan, and the fiscal and taxation tasks were completed by 406000 yuan, ranking the first in the city. the granite of qiwanxi township is exported to Japan, and its carving art is very famous
Transportation and communication
In the township, there is a county road from Daping to Tiepo, which passes through huashujiao and youzheyan village. In 2007, a comprehensive highway reconstruction has been carried out, and it has been transformed into asphalt road, so the traffic is more convenient. It has been realized that every village has access to cement roads and 90% of villagers' groups have access to roads, the popularization rate of program-controlled telephone has been further improved, and 40% of farmers have installed telephones.

There are 1 central school, 4 village primary schools, 76 teaching staff and 1167 primary and secondary school students in the township. The teaching building of Township Middle School and haocaiping primary school were rebuilt. There are 2 health centers, 17 village clinics, 26 medical staff, including 24 health technicians, 10 ward beds, B-ultrasound, ECG, microscope and other equipment, and medical facilities have been improved. Cable TV covers 11 villages with more than 800 users.

Ancient Foshan is the best scenic spot in the township. The mountains are strong, the roads are straight, the rocks are dangerous, and the scenery is pleasant. There is an endless stream of visitors every year. It can be used as one of the scenic spots for the development of Xuefeng Mountain Forest Park in the future.
