Jiemuxi township is located in an area of Yuanling County, Huaihua City, Hunan Province. It is located at the intersection of Yuanling, Yongshun and Zhangjiajie counties and cities. The landform is a compound trough basin Valley in the mountains with its back against Wuling ridge, Southeast tilt, overlapping mountains and streams running.

Jiemuxi township is located in the northwest of Yuanling County, with the geographic coordinates of 110 ° 21 ′ 39 ″ E and 28 ° 48 ′ 22 ″ n. On January 30, 2004, Yuanling County decided to merge jundaping Township, tongcheping Township and fengxiangping Township into one district. After the merger, the name was changed to Jiemuxi Township, where the district and township were integrated, and the township was an entity, with two brands and a set of people. On April 29, 2005, the Department of civil affairs of Hunan Province approved the merger of jundaping, tongcheping and fengxiangping townships to set up Jiemuxi Township, which has jurisdiction over 33 administrative villages, with a total area of 284.2 square kilometers and a total population of 21300. The township government is stationed in funing'an (the former residence of jundaping District Office); meanwhile, jundaping district is cancelled. In the same year, fengxiangping office and tongcheping office were set up. From August to the end of 2005, nine villages were merged: qiantangwan village merged into Jiemuxi village, Xiaobei village merged into liangchaxi village, luochayuan village merged into liujiata village, maliaoshui village merged into caojia village, Taoyao village merged into zhaixiping village, Huangjiazhuang village merged into JIAOJIAPING village, Jinya village merged into hongshuiping village, caolongtan Village merged into Zhuping village, niulanwan village merged into shangmashan village. The gold deposits are mainly concentrated in the section from yongxikou to caolongtan Shili, with purity of more than 99% and accumulation of about 10 tons (at present, two enterprises are mining). Luochayuan, xiangxiaowujia and chenjiatan copper deposits have a storage area of 3427 mu, accounting for 0.85%. Iron ore in fujiaping, barite in lannitian and zhaixiping, phosphorus in caojiacun, sulfur in tongcheping, coal in xuezongxi and maliushui, etc.

It extends to tanglita formation in liangchaxi village in the East, daoyanta formation in tongcheping village in the south, qiantangwan formation in Jiemuxi Township in the West and Tongdou village in siduping Township in Zhangjiajie City in the south. At present, there are 1230 people, mainly Tujia, Han and Miao, with a total area of 27002.1 mu, 930.42 mu of cultivated land and 1483.8 ha of forest land. Tongcheping Village
It extends to guijiata and shanlinggang formations in jishuixi village in the East, yekou formation in yekou village in the south, xizhuangmenkou formation in Xuezong village in the West and longtanping formation in liujiata village in the north. At present, there are 1008 people, mainly Tujia, Han and Miao, with a total area of 9077.6 mu, cultivated land area of 765.26 Mu and woodland area of 505.9 ha. The landform is medium and low mountainous area. Specialty: Shatian pomelo, citrus, wood.
Yekou Village:
It extends to huangmingxi and Fujia formations in hongshuiping village in the East, dayungang formation in hongshuiping village in the south, jiumenkou formation in xuezongxi village in the west, Daijia formation in tongcheping village in the north and guijiata formation in jishuixi village in the north. At present, there are 796 people, mainly Tujia, Han and Miao, with a total area of 10291.7 mu, cultivated land area of 706.69 Mu and forest land area of 451 hectares. Jishui
Xixi Village:
It extends to Bianshan formation of nanxiping village in the East, daijiabangshan formation of yekou village in the south, Gaoping and Qiaobian formation of tongcheping village in the west, and guizhushan formation of liujiata village in the north. At present, there are 857 people, mainly Tujia, Han and Miao, with a total area of 22804.6 mu, cultivated land area of 870.33 Mu and forest land area of 1205.3 ha. Nanxiping Village:
It extends to the Hutian boundary of daheping Township in the East, taozhuxi in daheping Township in the south, Lujia formation of qishuixi village in the west, zhonglinggang, liangchaxi, upper and lower formations of liangchaxi village in the north.
