Geography

Nanmupu township is 13 km wide from east to west and 25 km long from north to south. The township has 17 administrative villages, 153 villager groups and 15598 people (2017). In 2005, the family planning rate was 90%, and the natural population growth rate was 8 ‰.

The Miao nationality is the main ethnic group in the township, accounting for 90% of the total population of the township. Nanmupu township is rich in natural resources, including coal, limestone, gold, copper, stone coal, etc. Among them, the reserves of limestone mine are the largest, and most of them are high-quality ores, often a mountain is a limestone mine.
