Shanfangbao Township
Shanfangbao Township, belonging to Wanquan District, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, is located in the north of Wanquan District, bordering dongyaozi town in the East, Wanquan town in the south, beixintun Township in the west, and youlangou township of Zhangbei County across the Great Wall in the north. It is 23 kilometers away from the people's Government of Wanquan County, with a total area of 176.95 square kilometers.
During the Zhengtong period of the Ming Dynasty (1436-1449), it was the barracks garrison area, named "shangfangying"; in March 1984, shanfangbao commune and liangjiazhuang commune were changed into shanfangbao Township and liangjiazhuang Township respectively; in January 1996, liangjiazhuang township was merged into shanfangbao township. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in the village was 11841.
In 2018, there were 10 industrial enterprises in shanfangbao Township, including one above scale and four comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
Ming Zhengtong years (1436-1449), for the barracks garrison area, named "shangfangying.". In 1479, Yin Qian, a Duyu envoy (zhengsanpin), began to build castles and expand barracks.
During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to three districts of Wanquan county.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belongs to three districts of Wanquan county.
In April 1953, it was divided into shanfangbao Township and liangjiazhuang township.
In August 1958, it belonged to Wanquan commune.
In July 1961, it separated from Wanquan commune and established shanfangbao commune and liangjiazhuang commune.
In March 1984, shanfangbao commune and liangjiazhuang commune were changed into shanfangbao Township and liangjiazhuang Township respectively.
In January 1996, liangjiazhuang township was merged into shanfangbao township.
In 2016, shanfangbao township was changed into Wanquan district.

By the end of 2011, shanfangbao village had 21 administrative villages, including shanfangbao, shannanshan, judebao, Xiwan, Fumin Village, Dongdong, heshangzhuang, aihegou, Daliugou, wanghutai, zhengbeigou, Taipingzhuang, lianzhengou, niuyaogou, yaoergou, liangjiazhuang, Huangjiabao, Sunjiazhuang, xinkaikou, caishangou and fengjiayao, with 57 villager groups.
