Jinshiqiao town

Jinshiqiao town belongs to longhui County, Hunan Province. It is located in the northern border of longhui County. It is adjacent to Yatian town in the East, xiaoshajiang town and Yanxi Township in Xupu County in the west, simenqian town in Nantong and Shuiche town in Xinhua County in the north. The transportation is convenient, 312 and 219 provincial roads run through the town, and the town roads are scattered in all directions. It is the golden triangle of Loudi, Shaoyang and Huaihua. The East and West Mountains are towering, with hills and fields in the middle. It belongs to the semi mountainous and semi hilly area, with an average altitude of about 600 meters. The highest place is Wangyun mountain Tianmen temple, with an altitude of 1498 meters.

The town governs 56 villages, 2 neighborhood committees, 65247 people (in 2017), with a total area of 199.8 square kilometers. In 2012, it became a civilized town in Shaoyang City, and in 2014, it became a new round of national key town. In November 2020, it will be selected into the sixth national list of civilized villages and towns.

Historical evolution

In the late Qing Dynasty, jinshiqiao was subordinate to the second capital of longhui in Shaoyang County; in the period of the Republic of China, jinshiqiao was subordinate to Longzhong Township in Longhui County. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, jinshiqiao district was established; in 1958, the office system and township system were abolished, and the people's commune of jinshiqiao town was established through the integration of government and society; in 1961, the district system was restored, and jinshiqiao town had six communes under its jurisdiction: Jiangtian, miaotan, huangjinjing, Yatian, Gaozhou and jinshiqiao; in 1984, jinshiqiao district was changed into township system; in 1987, it was changed into township system; in 1995, Yatian and miaotan were transferred from township system The town of Yatian was established by the separation of the middle and the combination of the two; the town of jinshiqiao still belongs to huangjinjing, Jiangtian, Gaozhou and jinshiqiao.

The whole town has completed 36000 mu of grain sown area, 36000 mu of improved seed subsidy area, 570000 yuan of subsidy funds, 34000 mu of grain direct subsidy area, 377200 yuan of direct subsidy funds, and the subsidy rate is 100%. The urban development of the whole town is one step at a time. The urban area has expanded from 0.1 square kilometers in the past to about 3.0 square kilometers now.
