Liuze town

Liuze town is located in the northeast of Shaodong City, 15 kilometers away from the urban area, bordering Tuanshan town and liuguangling town in the East, Shashi Town in the south, huangpiqiao town in the west, Lianqiao town and Jieling town in the north, covering an area of 53.2 square kilometers (2017), totaling 79779 Mu, including 15356 mu of cultivated land. Historical evolution and naming

Liuze town is named liuzesuo because of its high terrain, water flows all around, Xiangxiang in the East, Baoqing in the west, 90 Li upstream and long river. It was Qinyi township of Shaoyang County before 1949, liuzesuo Township in 1950, part of Jieling and Lianqiao communes in 1958, liuzesuo commune in 1961 and Liuze commune in 1980. In 1984, it was renamed Liuze Township, under the jurisdiction of Lianqiao district. In 1995, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged. Liuze township was retained as a separate township. In December 1998, with the approval of the provincial people's government, Liuze township was abolished and Liuze town was established.
