Taheman Township
Taheman Township, belonging to Tashkurgan Tajik Autonomous County in Kashgar region of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the north of Tashkurgan Tajik Autonomous County. It is connected with qialong township of aktao County in the East, tiznapu Township in the south, Tajikistan and Kirgiz Township in the west, and bulukou township of aktao County in the North, which is far away from Tashkurgan Tajik Autonomous County The county is 32 kilometers long, with a total area of 831.84 square kilometers.
Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, taheman township was in Puli County; in 1985, taheman commune was changed into taheman township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in the township was 3429. In 2019, taheman Township governs four administrative villages, and the people's government is stationed in sarera village.
The main food crops in taheman township are wheat, highland barley and pea; the main animal husbandry is cattle, sheep and poultry. In 2018, there were two industrial enterprises in taheman township.
History of construction
Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was taheman township of Puli county.
In March 1950, it was a district.
In 1958, moustag commune was established.
In 1959, it was renamed tahman commune.
In 1966, it was renamed Yuejin commune.
In 1975, the original name of tahman commune was restored.
In 1985, taheman commune was transformed into taheman township.
