Ruanqiao Town, subordinate to Taihe County, Fuyang City, Anhui Province, is located in the northeast of Taihe County, with a total area of 66.58 square kilometers, 65000 mu of arable land, nine village committees and 44205 permanent residents (2017). It is a town mainly engaged in agricultural production, rich in wheat, soybean, corn and other crops, and has built the first certified GAP base of Banlangen in China.

Ruanqiao town is an agricultural town. Due to the flood disaster, the average income per mu can reach 1600 yuan. in recent years, the gap base area of Banlangen in the town has expanded to 30000 mu, with a radiation target area of 100000 mu, creating the first town of Banlangen in China; developing Daqingye (Banlangen leaf) tea, with an additional income of 1500-2000 yuan per mu; building a professional market of Banlangen to increase financial revenue; selling Ruanqiao Banlangen abroad through existing channels, so as to make the brand of Ruanqiao Banlangen go to the world.

Banlangen GAP base

Banlangen GAP base in Ruanqiao town of Taihe County was founded in 2003, initially developing more than 3500 mu of Banlangen gap planting base. Through unremitting efforts in recent years, the income of Banlangen gap planting base has been increasing. By the end of 2009, Banlangen gap planting base has expanded to nearly 6000 mu. The planned area is 30000 mu. In November 2003, Fuyang Baiyunshan Hutchison Huangpu traditional Chinese Medicine Co., Ltd. invested in the construction of Banlangen GAP base in Ruanqiao Town, Taihe County, and became one of the first batch of gap certified bases in China. It is the only one in China and the only gap certified base of traditional Chinese medicine in Anhui Province.
