Tiexitang town
Tiexitang Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Hengnan County, Hengyang City, Hunan Province, is located in the northeast of Hengnan County, adjacent to Chuankou Township in the East, Huaqiao town in the south, Hongshan Town in the West and Mojing Township in Hengdong County in the north, with an administrative area of 74.68 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of the town was 24524.
In 1958, it was called julufeng commune. In 1961, it was changed into Wangjiang commune. In 1984, it was Wangjiang Township, belonging to Huaqiao district. In November 1993, it was changed into tiexitang town. As of June 2020, the town has one community and nine administrative villages.
In 2011, the financial revenue of tiedatang town was 3.86 million yuan, an increase of 12% over the previous year. In 2018, there was one industrial enterprise and 11 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in tiedatang town.
History of construction
In October 1949, it belonged to the Ninth District of Hengyang County.
In July 1952, it belongs to the Fifth District of Hengnan County.
In 1956, it was changed to Wangjiang township.
In 1958, it was called julufeng commune.
In 1961, it was changed into Wangjiang commune.
In 1984, it was Wangjiang Township, belonging to Huaqiao district.
In November 1993, it was changed into tiexitang town.

By the end of 2011, tiexitang town had three communities: tietie, Xiangxiang and xiajie, and 17 administrative villages: shangfenglin, Fenglin, Jingjia, tietie, Taoxi, Jiashan, Maotang, Danshui, Lishan, ouchong, Shihe, Jiangshui, Baibi, HuaQuan, Wangjiang, Chenguang and nannanchong.
As of June 2020, tiedatang town has jurisdiction over one community and nine administrative villages: tiedatang community, Fenglin Village, tiewire village, Danshui village, Jiangshui village, HuaQuan village, Chenguang village, Wangjiang village, Hongqi village and Julu village. The town people's government is stationed in tiewire village.

History and culture
It is said that in ancient times, Emperor Yan's Shennong collected hundreds of grasses to Julu peak, where Tianchi, Leichi, Fengchi and Huochi were set up for alchemy. Later generations found a large amount of iron slag by a big pond at the foot of the mountain, so it was named "iron wire pond". The local government got this name because of the allusion of "opening iron shops in the iron wire pond and fighting East and West from south to North".
