Yanpi town
Yanpi Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Hengyang County, Hengyang City, Hunan Province, is located in the southwest of Hengyang County. It is adjacent to Xidu town in the East, Xianshan Township in the south, Jingtou town and kuzongqiao town in the west, Da'an Township and Lanlong Township in the north, with an administrative area of 87.47 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the population of the registered residence in Yan Po town was 43583.
In July 1952, it belonged to Yanpi district. In May 1956, Yanpi township was established. In September 1958, it belonged to Xianfeng and Guangming people's commune. In May 1995, the district was withdrawn and the township was built into a town, which was renamed yanpi town. As of June 2020, yanpi town has 2 communities and 21 administrative villages.

History of construction
In the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, it belonged to Renyi township of Hengyang County.
In October 1949, it belonged to the Sixth District of Hengyang County.
In July 1952, it belonged to Yanpi district.
In May 1956, Yanpi township was established.
In September 1958, it belonged to Xianfeng and Guangming people's commune.
In May 1995, Fanggong, Xintang and Liutang were merged and renamed yanpi town.
