Dongtundu Street

Dongtundu street belongs to Furong district, Changsha City, Hunan Province. It is adjacent to Liuyang River in the East, Yuhua District in the south, the second ring road in the West and Yuanda road in the north.

Dongtundu Street covers an area of 2.7 square kilometers and has a population of 68948 (2010). It has five communities and one village, including dongtundu community, Furong community, Yangfan community, Jiayu community, Baishawan community and Nongke village.

In April 2007, dongtundu street was rated as one of the top ten comprehensive strength streets in Changsha.

Evolution of organizational system

Dongtundu street, formerly known as the state-owned dongtundu farm in Changsha, was founded in 1959 as a state-owned land reclamation enterprise under the jurisdiction of suburbs. in 1996, the whole city was under the jurisdiction of Furong district. In September 1998, dongtundu sub district office was officially set up, retaining the structure of Changsha state-owned dongtundu farm and implementing the management mode of two brands and one set of people. In 2012, dongtundu Street retained the dongtundu community, Furong community, Yangfan community and Jiayu community of the former dongtundu street, and was divided into the original Nongke village of Mawangdui street, and the hehuayuan community, dezhengyuan community, dongfangxincheng community and Dongjun community of the former dongtundu street. The community covers an area of 0.29 square kilometers, with a floating population of 11000.
