Wangchang town is under the jurisdiction of Tianmen City. Located in the Midwest of the city. The resident population was 32616 (2017). It has jurisdiction over one neighborhood committee and 24 administrative villages. The town government is stationed in Wangjiachang. It is the distribution center of agricultural and sideline products in southwest of the city.

Historical evolution
