In the rainstorm season, the running water strikes the stone and sounds like thunder, so it is called boiling Tianhe. In the old days, there was no bridge on the river. Even in the ice and snow, pedestrians had to cross the river barefoot. The sick and the disabled, the old and the young, only looked forward to the sky and cried, also known as crying Tianhe. Historical evolution
The border area of Hubei, Henan and Anhui is the birthplace of the Fourth Front Army of the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army, which is composed of the Fourth Army and the 20th army of the Red Army. During the first revolutionary war of the people's Republic of China, the workers and peasants here were led by the Communist Party of China to launch a vigorous revolutionary struggle against imperialism and feudalism. After the second Civil Revolutionary War, the Communist Party of China led many uprisings here. The workers' and peasants' armed forces born from the uprising were the predecessor of the front army of the Fourth Red Army. The main force of the Fourth Front Army of the Red Army, the Fourth Army of the Red Army, was founded in Futianhe town. Therefore, according to the history of the Fourth Front Army of the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army, Futianhe Town, Macheng County, Hubei Province, is the birthplace of the fourth front army of the Red Army.
In November 1927, the peasants of Huang'an (now Hong'an) and Macheng counties in Hubei Province successfully launched the famous armed uprising of peasants in history - huang'ma uprising, and formed the uprising armed forces into the Eastern Hubei army of the Chinese workers and peasants revolutionary army, with pan Zhongru as the commander in chief, Dai Kemin as the party representative, and Wu Guanghao and Liu Guanglie as the deputy commander in chief. The name of this unit has been changed to the seventh army of the workers' and peasants' revolutionary army, the eleventh army of the workers' and peasants' revolutionary army, and the first army of the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army. In mid January 1931, on the way to the East, the first Red Army and the 15th Red Army, which had been fighting for a long time in the Dabie Mountains, met in Changzhuyuan, Shangcheng, Henan Province, and then went to Futianhe town. According to the instructions of the CPC Central Committee, they were organized into the Fourth Army of the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army. Kuang Jixun and Yu Du, who were sent by the CPC Central Committee, served as the army commander and political commissar. Xu Xiang, the former chief of staff, and Cao Dajun, served as the director of the political department. The first division of the first Red Army and the first regiment of the 15th Red Army were combined into the 10th division. It is under the jurisdiction of the 28th, 29th and 30th regiments. The second division of the first Red Army and the third regiment of the 15th Red Army were combined into the 11th division. Mr. Xu Jishen and political commissar Pang Yongjun have jurisdiction over the 31st, 32nd and 33rd regiments. The seventh regiment of the third division of the first Red Army in Western Anhui was changed into an independent regiment. There are about 12500 soldiers in the army.
On November 7, 1931, the Fourth Front Army of the Red Army was established in Qiliping, Huang'an County, Hubei Province. The military headquarters of the Fourth Army of the Red Army was changed into the headquarters of the front army, under the jurisdiction of the Fourth Army and the 25th army. Xu Qianqian, commander in chief, Chen Changhao, political commissar, and Liu Shiqi, director of the political department, have nearly 30000 troops. After the establishment of the front army, relying on the base areas of Hubei, Henan and Anhui, it took the initiative to attack the enemy and successively won great victories in Huang'an, Shanghuang, sujiabu and Huangguang campaigns, which made the Fourth Front Army of the Red Army and the base areas of Hubei, Henan and Anhui develop unprecedentedly on the original basis.
In August 1937, the Fourth Army, the 31st army and the first headquarters of the Fourth Front Army of the Red Army were reorganized into the 129th division of the Eighth Route Army of the Chinese National Revolutionary Army in Sanyuan County, Shaanxi Province. In the war of liberation, it was designated as the fourth field army of the Chinese people's Liberation Army. It has become an important fighting force of the Chinese people's Liberation Army and made great contributions to the liberation of the whole country and the construction of a new China.
The Fourth Red Army, born from Futianhe Town, and later the Fourth Red Army, are the main force of the Red Army created by the Communist Party of China. From the uprising of Huangma, Shangnan and Liuhuo, it smashed the enemy's "joint suppression" and "encirclement suppression" for many times. From small to large, from weak to strong, it developed from a guerrilla group with only a few dozen people into a regular Red Army with more than 80000 people. It adhered to the road of armed separatism between workers and peasants, and created two revolutionary bases, Hubei, Henan, Anhui, Sichuan and Shaanxi, second only to the Central Soviet area. It has gained a lot of valuable experience in the agrarian revolution, the creation of base areas, the establishment of red political power, the construction of the Red Army and the practice of revolutionary war. It has trained and trained a large number of leading cadres for the party and the army. In 1955 alone, there were 1 Marshal, 2 general, 14 general and 51 general. It fought successively in Hubei, Henan, Anhui, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Xikang, Qinghai, Gansu, Ningxia and other provinces, annihilating more than 300000 enemy troops. During the Long March, it strongly responded to the strategic shift of the first and second front armies of the Red Army, overcame Zhang Guotao's separatism and went north successfully. It made indelible contributions to consolidating and developing the Shaanxi Gansu Ningxia base, promoting the peaceful settlement of the "Xi'an Incident" and realizing the party's anti Japanese national united front.
