Muzi township of Anlu City is located in the southwest of Anlu City, 10 kilometers away from the urban area. The township government is located in Muzi street, with a population of 18291 (2017) and an area of 86 square kilometers. The location is superior and the traffic is convenient. The Zhoutian highway connecting Anlu and Jingshan runs through the whole area. It has jurisdiction over 24 villages (tea farms) including Muzi, Zhanghe, leifan, Dongshan, Zhangzhai, Fanghe, jindang, Wangdian, Daihe, Jianxin, Xiangdian, natural, Xiaqiao, Taishan, Wanghe, Huangchong, Zengmao, Jianghe, Shuangyang, dudang, Tangchong, Xindian, Qunli and tea farm.
history
Muzi township is named after Muzi tree shop. Muzishu is also called sanyuandian. It is said that long ago, there were two surnames, Li and Deng, living here. In order to take the name of the shop by surname, the two surnames argued and filed a lawsuit. Later, Li Qiaoji proposed not to recognize the surname, and named it after a nearby tree named Muzi (cypress). In 1979, Muzi commune was divided into Muzi, Wangdian and yokotou. In January 1984, Muzi commune was divided into Muzi Township and xiaowangdian Township, under the jurisdiction of Tangdi district office. In September 1987, xiaowangdian Township and Muzi Township were merged into Wangdian township. At that time, they were stationed in xiaowangdian street. As the township government was too biased to manage and form a political, economic and cultural center, the township government moved from xiaowangdian to muzishu on May 1, 1989. In December 1996, it was renamed Muzi Township with the approval of Hubei Provincial Department of civil affairs, and a grand ceremony was held in January of the next year.

Qianchong ancient ginkgo eco tourism area
Qianchong ancient ginkgo ecotourism area is located in Wangyizhen town in the west of Anlu City. It is one of the four major ginkgo producing areas in China and one of the two existing ancient ginkgo communities in nature. There are 48 ancient ginkgo trees with more than one thousand years old, 180 trees with more than 500 years old and 4370 trees with more than 100 years old, 3800 mu of newly developed ginkgo base, 2.4 million ginkgo trees planted, and 36 scenic spots with more than 25 trees in succession.
