Dongxu Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Boye County, Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located in the east of Boye County, 4.41km away from the county in the southwest, bordering Linbao township of Lixian County in the East, Boye town in the south, Beiyang town in the West and Xiaodian town in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 99 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 5.4 kilometers, with a total area of 28.74 square kilometers. In late 2018, the total population of Dong - Zhen registered residence was 26160.

In 1957, Dongxu township was established. In 1962, it became Dongxu people's commune. In 1984, Dongxu township was restored. On December 12, 2013, with the approval of provincial, municipal and County People's governments, Dongxu Township People's government became Dongxu Town People's government. As of June 2020, Dongxu town has jurisdiction over 15 administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in Chen village. There are Shuohuang Railway, provincial highway Helong line through the territory, every village road.

Historical evolution

In 1957, Dongxu township was established.

In 1958, it was incorporated into Lixian County and belonged to Xinxin people's commune; in October of the same year, it was transferred to Anguo and belonged to Xinxin people's commune.

In 1962, it returned to Boye county and became Dongxu people's commune.

In 1984, Dongxu township was restored.

At the end of 2008, the township government moved from Dongxu village to Chen village.

On December 12, 2013, with the approval of provincial, municipal and County People's governments, Dongxu Township People's government became Dongxu Town People's government.
