Taiyu Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Shunping County, Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located in the northeast of Shunping County, bordering Mancheng District in the East and North, Pushang town in the South and Anyang Township in the West. The maximum distance from east to west is 10.34 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 10.45 km, with a total area of 59.22 square kilometers. At the end of 2018, the total population of Yutai Township registered residence was 18652.
In 1958, it belonged to Anyang township. In 1961, Taiyu commune was established. In 1984, it was changed to Taiyu township. As of June 2020, Yutai township has jurisdiction over 17 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located in beikangguan village. Yutai township is the planting site of Shunping peach, a national geographical indication product in China.
In 2011, the total industrial output value of Yutai township was 180 million yuan. In 2018, there were 12 industrial enterprises in Yutai Township, including one above scale and one comprehensive store or supermarket with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History and culture
Yutai Township got its name because the township government was originally located in Yucun, Nantai.
Kangguan ancient town is located in Yutai Township, Shunping County, east foot of Taihang Mountain. The tributaries of Puyang river flow through the middle, East, West and north of the village respectively. Kangguan has a long history. As early as the Neolithic age, there were human activities here. The entire ancient castle site is located at the north end of the first pass (kouzi ancient pass) in Taihang. It used to be an ancient stone castle. According to historical records, as early as the Northern Song Dynasty, it was the center of Beiping village. The ancient city of kangguan had a high wall, and the roads in the castle were interlinked, similar to a labyrinth.
There are five gates in kangguan ancient castle, one of which is dongguanmen. The relics of kangguan include Dukang Chaozhen temple, Dukang liquor making place (liujiugou), liujiuquan, Yaowang temple and Yuquan temple. On the basis of the original site of Yuquan temple, dafoguang temple was built.
According to expert research, kangguan area is the sixth monarch of Xia Dynasty. Shaokang accumulated strength and restored the base of Xia Dynasty. It is called "Shaokang resurgence" in history. This pass is named "kangguan" because of Shaokang, and the name of kangguan village comes from "kangguan pass".
Local specialties
Shunping peach, a specialty of Shunping County, Hebei Province, is a national geographic indication product of China. Yutai township is the planting land.
Since the 1980s, Shunping County has been planting peach trees on a large scale. Shunping peach color is gorgeous, pink, fruit surface is clean and bright, taste sweet. At maturity, the fruit is heart-shaped, with red and green color. The pulp contains a variety of vitamins and high content of soluble solids.
