Yaoshan Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Shunping County, Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located in the northeast of Shunping County, bordering Mancheng District of Baoding City in the East and North, gaoyupu town in the South and Pushang town in the West. The maximum distance from east to west is 9.36 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 10.8 kilometers, with a total area of 52.24 square kilometers. At the end of 2018, the total population of the registered residence in the town was 37867.
In 1953, it was called Yaoshan township. In 1958, it belonged to Yaoshan commune. In April 1962, Yaoshan commune was established. In 1984, it was changed to Yaoshan township. In September 1993, Yaoshan township was transformed into a town. As of June 2020, Yaoshan town has jurisdiction over 33 administrative villages, and the people's Government of Yaoshan town is located in nanyaoshan village. Yaoshan town has Baofu Expressway and Baofu highway, Yaoshan Wangshi manor and Wuhou tower, which are national key cultural relics protection units. It is also the planting site of Shunping peach, a national geographical indication product of China.
In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Yaoshan town was 867 million yuan. In 2018, there were 37 industrial enterprises in Yaoshan Town, including 3 large-scale enterprises and 10 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
In 1953, it was called Yaoshan township.

History and culture
Yaoshan, named for its location at the foot of Yaozi mountain, was originally nanyaoshan village. According to the records of Shunping County Government, nanyaoshan village was built in the early Ming Dynasty. Wang Xiguan, the ancestor of Wang family, was granted the imperial title for his meritorious service. He ordered him to run horses and encircle the land at the foot of nanyaoshan, which gave birth to Yaoshan town. At the same time, Yaoshan town got its name because the town government was stationed in nanyaoshan village.
Yaoshan Wang's Manor
Yaoshan Wang's manor, located in Yaoshan Town, Shunping County, was built in 1647, the fourth year of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty. It was built after Wang Xigong, the ancestor of Wang's, was granted the title of Yaoshan in Baoding, southwest of Beijing.
Yaoshan Wang's manor covers an area of 500000 square meters, with a construction area of more than 4300 square meters. In its heyday, there were 12 elegant courtyard houses, 5 of which are now in existence. There are four houses arranged in East and West in the manor
