In 2002, the Taipei street office was dedicated to building the brand of "Taiwan style street". The establishment of "Taiwan style street" has been strongly supported by Wuhan municipal government and relevant functional departments. On the basis of the accumulated investment of 50 million yuan by municipal and district governments, a large amount of funds has been injected to carry out road construction and facade renovation, continuously optimize the innovation environment, create a relaxed entrepreneurial atmosphere, and create a good hard environment for foreign investment. In 2005, all the eight communities were rated as excellent standard communities in the "883 action plan" standard creation activities.
Managing the community

The origin of the name
The place names of Taipei street are all named after the names of Taiwan area: Kaohsiung Road, Yunlin street, Baodao Park, Penghu apartment, Taipei Art Garden, Kaohsiung community, etc. it contains a strong "treasure island flavor". You can feel the cultural landscape of Taiwan, appreciate the style and characteristics of Taiwan, as if you are visiting the treasure island of the motherland. Taoyuan community, Ilan community, Baodao community, Hemei community, Penghu community, Yunlin community, Tainan community and Hualien community are all named after Taiwan. Jiang'an District is the first city in mainland China to name its roads and administrative streets after the place names in Taiwan. Since the reform and opening up, with the development of cross-strait relations, personnel exchanges between Wuhan and Taiwan have become increasingly frequent, which not only continues the kinship between Wuhan and Taiwan, but also drives the continuous development of economic and trade ties and cooperation between the two places.
Resident life
"One for onion, two for dish, three for water boiling, four for rice noodles..." Tang's father, 70 years old, often talks about the first Taiwanese folk song he has just learned. "That's interesting." He said that in addition to playing chess, he also likes Taiwanese Gezai Opera, such as shiwuguan, mengjiangnu, chensanwuniang and shanboyingtai. in Baodao community, 60 year old mother-in-law song, wearing presbyopic glasses, learned traditional Chinese characters by looking through dictionaries. "I learned it as a child, but now I forget all about it." She said that people say that Taiwan compatriots like to use traditional Chinese characters. In order to facilitate communication in the future, she decided to pick up the traditional Chinese characters again. "When people go home, we should also create a sense of home for them."
Yu Xianglian, director of the neighborhood committee of Tainan community, said that the residents of the community were very excited to learn that their street was going to be built into a "Taiwan style street". The last time the street planning model was displayed in the community, the residents rushed to see it.
It is understood that due to historical reasons and coincidence, the districts, sections and parks of Taipei street are all named after the place names of Taiwan. Taipei Road, Taipei 1st Road, Taipei 2nd Road, Kaohsiung Road, Baodao Park and Penghu apartment, Taipei Garden, Kaohsiung community, Taoyuan community, etc. all exude a strong "treasure island flavor". On this basis, Jiang'an District government will carry out a comprehensive transformation of Taipei street this year to create a "Taiwan style street". In addition to the related hardware facilities, Taibei road school is going to be transformed into Taibei road school for the children of Taiwanese businessmen, with additional courses in Minnan language and Taiwan history and geography. The relevant departments also plan to use traditional Chinese characters on the signboards to create a pure Taiwanese flavor.
