Jizhong town of Dancheng county is ten kilometers west of the county. The origin of town name

In today's Dancheng County, there is a historical town - Jizhong town. Jizhong town is named after Jian tomb in the west of the town. I'm sorry? He was born in Puyang in the Western Han Dynasty. Seeing this, he risked the crime of beheading and ordered the local officials to open the Royal granary to relieve the victims without asking for the approval of the imperial court. When he arrived in Beijing, he asked himself to be removed from his post, waiting for the emperor. Fortunately, Emperor Hanwu not only pardoned him for his sins, but also praised him for his right deeds and called him "the Minister of the state".

Because of his arrogant disposition, Ji'an could not tolerate others' mistakes and offended many courtiers. Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty did not like him as before. Later, Ji'an was dismissed for committing some minor crimes and returned to his hometown Puyang to live a pastoral life. However, it was not long before emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty re appointed Ji'an as governor of Huaiyang.

During Ji'an's stay in Huaiyang, his politics were clear and his people lived and worked in peace and contentment. In 112 BC, Ji'an died of illness in Huaiyang. After Ji'an died, Huaiyang people felt his kindness and buried him, and changed the name of Yangxian town to Jizhong town. In front of the tomb, there was a tablet of the divine way of Jigong, the supreme governor of Huaiyang in the Han Dynasty. The tomb is now one of the cultural relics protection units in Henan Province.
