Dalizhuang Township

Dalizhuang is located 6 kilometers north of Fugou County in Henan Province, in the junction of urban and rural areas. It is surrounded by suburban township, lvtan Township, Baotun Town, Caoli Township and Jiuyuan town. It covers an area of 30 square kilometers and 42000 mu of cultivated land. Zhouyizheng, fuyikai highway, national highway 311 and xuyidan railway run through the whole territory.

Historical evolution

Dalizhuang was originally named Xuanyuan temple. According to the inscriptions, there was a ancestral hall, which was abandoned and Xuanyuan temple was built. Because the surname Li lived here, it was later renamed Dalizhuang township. After 1949, Xuanyuan township was built here, belonging to three districts (lvtan); in 1958, Xuanyuan commune was rebuilt; in 1961, Xuanyuan commune was rebuilt, belonging to Chengguan District; in May 1965, it was changed to Xuanyuan brigade, belonging to Baotun commune; in 1975, it was newly built as Dalizhuang commune, directly under the county; in 1983, it was changed to Dalizhuang township. On December 6, 2010, with the approval of Henan Provincial People's Government (yuminxingpi No. 54), the six village committees of Dalizhuang Township, namely liushang, Qiliqiao, Liumao, Gaozhuang, balimiao and DAZHANGZHUANG, were incorporated into the urban area.
