Xiaolv Township

Xiaolu Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Yuzhou City, Henan Province, is the gateway to the south of the city. It is an agricultural trade town dominated by agricultural and sideline products processing industry and trade logistics. It is the hometown of Chao Cuo, the imperial historian of the Han Dynasty, and LV Buwei, a famous businessman and statesman in the Warring States period.

Xiaolu town is located in the southern suburb of Yuzhou, 8 kilometers away from the central city of Yuzhou. Yu, Xu (Xiang) and Ping (JIA) are at the junction of the three cities, with a total area of 49.69 square kilometers (2017), cultivated land of 62000 mu, 28 administrative villages, 219 village groups, and a total population of 56817.

There are hills and plains in the territory. S103, Pingyu railway and Zhengyao Expressway pass through the territory. The transportation is very convenient and the development potential is huge.

Xiaolu town is located in the southeast of Yuzhou City, Henan Province. The town government is 8 kilometers away from the central city. It is adjacent to Xiangcheng County of Xuchang City and Jia County of Pingdingshan City in the south. It governs 28 administrative villages with 31622 people (in 2017) and 62000 mu of arable land. It is the hometown of businessman Daru, Wenxin Marquis LV Buwei of the Prime Minister of Qin Dynasty and imperial historian Chao Cuo of early Han Dynasty. The territory has a mild climate, sufficient light, abundant rainfall, and abundant water resources above and below the ground. The Middle Route Project of South-North Water Diversion passes through the countryside. The township has developed transportation, 80 km north to Zhengzhou, 30 km east to Xuchang, 38 km south to Pingdingshan and 130 km west to Luoyang. It is 30km away from Beijing Zhuhai adjustment highway, 50km away from Xinzheng International Airport, and 9km away from Xiangcheng entrance of Xu (Chang) Ping (Dingshan) Nan (Yang) expressway. Henan S103 provincial highway Heping (Dingshan) Yu (Zhou) railway juxtaposed across the whole territory from north to south, interweaved with Zheng (Zhou) Shi (Renshan) Expressway under construction in the rural area, and 28 administrative villages of the township are connected with asphalt roads, forming a traffic network extending in all directions.

The origin of place names

According to the records of Yuzhou by Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, "the hometown of LV Buwei is in Dalu town in the south of the city." Some of the descendants of the Lu family moved eastward to build a village named Xiao Lu. It is named after Xiaolv village.

Evolution of organizational system

Xiaolv commune was established in 1968 and the township was changed in 1984. In 1997, with an area of 59.9 square kilometers and a total population of 56817, it has jurisdiction over 28 administrative villages including Zhuang, Dalu, Xiaolu, wanlima, maqianzhuang, Wangfeng, Niuzhuang, wuhuzhao, Zhongying, Guanzhuang, Liuzhuang, liupo, Ludong, lvxi, xinanwang, gangma, Youting, Luozhuang, zhangqingzhuang, Zhenglou, pochen, Lianhuachi, Qianying, Gaozhuang, chaizhuang, chaoxipu, Xulou and huangyudian. On June 11, 2020, with the approval of the people's Government of Henan Province, the Department of civil affairs of Henan Province approved Yuzhou City to abolish Xiaolv Township and establish Xiaolv town with the approval of Yumin Xingpi [2020] No.

Geomorphology and climate

The terrain of Xiaolu town is undulating, with mountains, hills and flat ground. The climate is continental warm temperate monsoon type, with mild climate, sufficient light, abundant rainfall, and abundant water resources above and below the ground.

In 2004, Xiaolu town achieved a total grain output of 28408 tons, attracting 16.1 million yuan of investment, accounting for 268% of the 6 million yuan task at the beginning of the year; the general budget revenue was 2.033 million yuan; the per capita net income of farmers was 3163 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 34%; the investment in rural fixed assets was 130 million yuan, including 89 million yuan in agricultural fixed assets and 41 million yuan in non-public enterprises. Polyethylene plastic particle processing industry, bamboo and wood processing industry and "three powder" processing industry have become the characteristic industries of Xiaolv town. In 2004, the Party committee and government of Xiaolu town continued to improve the investment environment, support and expand the characteristic industries, and increase the support for the traditional polyethylene plastic particle processing industry and bamboo and wood processing industry. The number of plastic particle processing plants with liupo as the center has increased to 89, with an annual processing capacity of 50000 tons. The products are sold to more than 10 provinces and cities, becoming a well-known plastic particle processing distribution center in China. The bamboo and wood processing of Maqian and Zhongying developed steadily and became the characteristic economy of Xiaolv town. The "three powder" processing has developed to a more sophisticated level. There are 32 "three powder" processing plants, with an annual processing capacity of 6000 tons of sweet potato starch and 3500 tons of vermicelli.

In 2009, the global financial crisis continued to spread. In view of the new trend of the national industrial structure adjustment, Xiaolv town timely adjusted the "employment structure" of migrant workers, so that more than 3000 migrant workers "changed jobs" in time, and realized employment. This is a miniature of the township's strengthening labor export work, so that migrant workers have no worries about employment. Xiaolv town has been focusing on strengthening the skills training and improving the quality of migrant workers as the central work of labor export, and has established a three-level labor training and export network of city, township and village. After the phenomenon of migrant workers returning home in the winter of 2008, the Township immediately organized government cadres and labor export information officers of various villages and groups to go deep into the households to find out, register and make records, so as to have a clear idea. cultural relics and historic sites

Chao CuO's tomb is located in the west of chaoxipu village, Xiaolu town. It is the tomb of Chao Cuo, the imperial historian of the Western Han Dynasty. The tomb is in the shape of a round mound, covering an area of 336.375 square meters, 65 meters in circumference and 5.3 meters in height. On the mound, there are luxuriant grass, luxuriant wild flowers, cypress, Sophora, tung tree and some annual weeds. There is a stone tablet on the south side of the tomb. It was erected in the third year of Qianlong (1783) of the Qing Dynasty. It is 1.5 meters high, 0.8 meters wide and 0.15 meters thick. It has a flat top and is inscribed with the regular script "Tomb of Chao Gong, the Imperial historian of the Han Dynasty".
