Xi Chang'an Street, a street under the jurisdiction of Xicheng District, Beijing, is located in the southeast of Xicheng District, between 116 ° 22'02 "~ 116 ° 23'26" E and 39 ° 53'54 "~ 39 ° 55'17" n. In the East, it is adjacent to Donghuamen street in Dongcheng District, bounded by the west wall of the Forbidden City, the west edge of Zhongshan Park and the West curb of the West Road of Tiananmen Square. During the Qing Dynasty, the West Chang'an Street area belonged to the red flag and the blue flag. During the period of the Republic of China, it was divided into inner two districts, inner four districts, inner six districts and inner seven districts. After 1949, it belonged to the second district and the Fifth District. In 1952, it was assigned to Xidan district. In 1954, eight streets including dongwenchangge, dashiyanjing, fuhutong, Weiying Hutong, hengertiao, Xidan North Street, Nanchang Street and xixinsi were built in the area. In 1958, it belonged to Xicheng District. In August, it was merged into West Chang'an Street. In April 1960, the people's commune of West Chang'an Street was built. In April 1962, the streets were restored.
As of June 2020, xichang'an street has 13 communities under its jurisdiction. In 2011, Xi Chang'an Street had a total population of 74500, a total industrial output value of 45.03 billion yuan and a total financial revenue of 5.27 billion yuan.
