Mingyi Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Laishui County, Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located in the southwest of Laishui County, adjacent to hujiazhuang Township and Laishui town in the East, Gaoli township of Dingxing County in the south, Qiaotou township of Yi County in the west, yongyang town and dongwenshan Township in the North. The maximum distance from east to west is 12.5 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 15 km, with a total area of 33.31 square kilometers. In late 2018, the total population of Ming Yi town registered residence was 22498.
In January 1962, Mingyi commune was established. In January 1984, it was changed to Mingyi township. In March 2017, Mingyi township of Laishui county was abolished and Mingyi town was established. As of June 2020, Mingyi town has jurisdiction over 18 administrative villages, and its people's government is located at No. 43, Yidong Road, Dongming. Mingyi town is the planting site of Laishui walnut, a national geographical indication product of China.
In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Mingyi township was 117 million yuan, and the total industrial output value was 111 million yuan. The total revenue was 17.84 million yuan, an increase of 4.6% over the previous year. In 2018, there were three industrial enterprises in Mingyi Town, including one above scale and 38 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
