Puwa Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Fangshan District, Beijing, is located between 115 ° 25'06 "~ 115 ° 34'20" E and 39 ° 41'32 "~ 39 ° 47'51" n. In 1958, it belonged to Puwa management area of Ma'an people's commune in Zhoukoudian district. In 1961, it belonged to Puwa people's commune of Fangshan County. In 1983, the commune was transformed into a township. In 1986, it belongs to Fangshan District. By the end of 2018, there were 4497 registered residence in Pu wa township. As of October 2019, Puwa village has eight administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township government is stationed in Puwa village.
