Chengkou town
Chengkou Town, belonging to Wudi County, Binzhou City, Shandong Province, is located in the north of Wudi County, adjacent to Beihai New Area by Dehui New River in the southeast, xiaobotou town and jieshishan town in the southwest, Haixing County and Huanghua city in Hebei Province by Zhangwei New River in the northwest, and Bohai Bay in the northeast. The area is 337.31 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Chengkou town was 25822.
In September 1955, it was renamed Chengkou district. In 1957, it was named Chengkou township. In September 1958, it became torch commune, and in December of the same year, it was renamed Chengkou commune. In May 1984, it was changed into Chengkou township. In October 1994, the township was transformed into a town. As of June 2020, Chengkou town has one community and 30 administrative villages.
By the end of 2018, there were 36 industrial enterprises in Chengkou Town, including 6 Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size and 33 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
It has been an important part of Qi Yan since ancient times. In the Ming Dynasty, it was Haifeng township.
In 1724, the wharf was built.

Chengkou town is an alluvial plain of the ancient Yellow River flowing into the Bohai Sea, with a southwest to northeast trend. The highest point is 3 meters above sea level in the center of the old village of sunjiaxiahe village, and the lowest point is the intertidal zone of wangzibao.

Zhangweixin River, Majia River and dehuixin River are important flood discharge rivers in Central Plains and Haihe River Basin. In 1996, the maximum discharge of Zhangweixin river was 1000 cubic meters per second.

The main natural disasters in Chengkou town are tsunami, storm surge, typhoon, hail, drought, low temperature, frost, lightning and so on. Astronomical spring tides (tsunamis) occur once every 60 years. On August 31, 1939, a tsunami occurred in Bohai Bay. Houses collapsed, farmland was destroyed and people were displaced. In the autumn of 1992, a great tsunami occurred again, which did not cause catastrophic losses because of the dampproof dike built along the coast of Chengkou. Hail disasters occur twice in five years on average. The most serious one occurred in the summer of 1986. The hail time is about 35 minutes, covering the whole territory. Most of the houses and tiles were smashed by hail, the size of eggs. Hundreds of people were injured, and the affected area of crops reached more than 8000 mu. Wind disasters occur all year round.

At the end of 2011, the main mineral resources in Chengkou town are shell sand, with a geological reserve of 130 million cubic meters, distributed in the Northeast coastal area and the area from Zhangshan village to cuculling village.
