Shouzhang town
Shouzhang town is subordinate to Yanggu County, Shandong Province. It is located in the south end of the middle part of Yanggu County, at the junction of Shandong and Henan provinces, and adjacent to the county seat of Taiqian County, Henan Province. It was changed into Shouzhang people's commune in 1971, Shouzhang town in 1982, and Sipeng town of Yanggu County was merged into Shouzhang town in 2001. Now it has jurisdiction over 67 administrative villages, 63385 people (2017), 56000 mu of arable land.
The original name of this place is "wanglingdian", which is the northernmost part of Shouzhang county. It is called "fengmingtai" because of its high terrain. In 1380, the government of Shouzhang County moved to this place because of flood, and changed its name to Shouzhang town with the county. Later, it absorbed Litai, shiwuliyuan, Sipeng and other places because of the change of Guanchao and Yanggu counties. Shouzhang county was withdrawn in 1964 due to water conservancy problems. The area to the north of Shouzhang Jindi was assigned to Yanggu County, and the area to the south of Jindi was assigned to fan County, belonging to Henan Province. For resettlement needs, the land reserved under Fengming platform (in front of the platform) belonged to fan County, and Shouzhang county was changed to Shouzhang Town, belonging to Yanggu County.
Historical evolution
Shouzhang town was formerly known as "wanglingdian". In 1380, the county government of Shouzhang County moved here, so it was renamed Shouzhang with the county. Since then, it has been the county seat of Shouzhang county.
The Ming and Qing Dynasties belonged to Yanzhou Prefecture.
In the early years of the Republic of China, it was changed to Donglin Road (formerly Jixi Road) in Shandong Province.
In the 17th year of the Republic of China, it was the sixth administrative supervision district of Shandong Province
In August 1949, it belonged to Puyang District of Pingyuan province.
In November 1952, Pingyuan province was abolished and Shouzhang County returned to Shandong Province, belonging to Liaocheng special area of Shandong Province.
In November 1964, Shouzhang county was abolished and its jurisdiction was bounded by Jindi. In the south, it was transferred to fan county (later to Taiqian County of Henan Province) and then to Henan Province along with fan county. In the north, it was transferred to Yanggu County, and Shouzhang town was then transferred to Shouzhang District of Yanggu County. It governed seven people's communes, including mamiao, Beitai, Shouzhang, Jiwang, Shahe, maomiao and Sipeng.
In March 1971, the district was withdrawn and the commune was merged. The villages originally belonging to mamiao, Beitai and Shouzhang communes were merged into Shouzhang people's commune, while the villages belonging to Sipeng, Jiwang, Shahe and maomiao communes in the north were merged into Sipeng people's commune.
In 1982, Shouzhang people's commune was changed into Shouzhang Town, and Sipeng people's commune was changed into Sipeng township

Shouzhang town is located in the Yellow River alluvial plain of Liaocheng, Shandong Province. It has excellent soil quality and favorable climate conditions. It has a warm temperate continental semi humid climate with four distinct seasons. The annual average temperature is 13.6 ℃, the annual average precipitation is 593.6 mm, and the light duration is 2556.1 hours. It is rich in groundwater resources and suitable for the growth of many crops. The main crops planted in the territory are wheat, corn, vegetables, fruit trees, etc.

cultural relics and historic sites
Shouzhang town has a long history and many cultural relics. Nantai site in Nanmen village is a place where the ancestors lived from Warring States to Han Dynasty. The stele of Wang Yanzhang, a famous general of Liang Dynasty in Dongmen Village during the Five Dynasties period, was erected in the tomb of Yin Yunxiao, a writer of Ming Dynasty in Shahe Village during the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty. There are other sites of Zhang Gongyi temple in Sui and Tang Dynasties, such as the official Temple of Wang mausoleum, Wang Jingdi (today's Jindi), Wang Gongci, Wu Gongci, Han tombs and the war of liberation The former site of Liu and Deng's Army crossing the river during the Warring States period.
Shouzhang people have a glorious tradition of struggle. On August 28, 1774, the 39th year of Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, Wang Lun, the founder of Qingshui sect of Bailian sect and Houwang village, Shouzhang County, Liaocheng City, Shandong Province, led an uprising to capture Shouzhang County, kill Shen Qiyi, the county magistrate, and go north to Keyang Valley and Tangyi. He defeated the besieged Qing army in Liulin, Guanxian County, and arrived at Qingcheng city Next. In 1861, the Nian Army of the Qing Dynasty entered Shandong, and the people of Western Shandong responded. The qiushen sect of Bailian sect and the local people besieged Shouzhang County of Shandong for several months. At the end of the same year, they failed under the attack of the superior Qing army. In June 1947, Liu Bocheng and Deng Xiaoping led the army to cross the Yellow River. The headquarters was set up at the home of Kong Yuexian, a villager in shaheya village, Shouzhang, Shandong Province. The local people actively made military shoes, delivered military provisions and carried stretchers for Liu Deng's army. They actively supported the army and made great contributions to the victory of the cross river campaign.

Shouzhang Town, located in the southeast of Yanggu County, Liaocheng City, Shandong Province, is located at 26 ° 01 'n and 115 ° 53' e, 9.0 km long from east to west and 8.4 km long from north to south, with a total area of 58.11 square kilometers. Shouzhang town has a long history and many historic sites. There are Li Kui county government office, Wang Lun uprising point general platform, Wang Ling Palace temple and Zhang Gongyi tomb. Shouzhang town is also an old revolutionary base. When Liu Deng's army crossed the Yellow River, the crossing headquarters was set up in shaheya village of Shouzhang town. Now the old site has been restored and named "Shandong Provincial National Defense Education Base"
River crossing headquarters
The former site of Liu Deng's Army Crossing River headquarters is located in shaheya village, 11 kilometers south of Yanggu County. In 1947, Liu Bocheng and Deng Xiaoping commanded four columns of the people's Liberation Army to cross the Yellow River 150 kilometers from Weishan in Liaocheng in the east to linpuji in Heze in the West. They set up the crossing headquarters in this village. Chi Haotian, chief of the general staff of the Chinese people's Liberation Army, inscribed the name of the memorial hall, which was built here in the autumn of 1996. The museum collects hundreds of revolutionary historical relics, including military wooden boxes given to the landlord by Deng Xiaoping, tables, chairs and tea sets used by Liu Bocheng and Deng Xiaoping, and inscriptions and reminiscences of the leaders who participated in the battle of crossing the river at that time.
