Hongning Street
Hongning street, belonging to Wulian County, Rizhao City, Shandong Province, is located in Chengguan of Wulian County, connecting Songbai town in the East, jiejie town and Shichang town in the south, Zhongzhi town in the west, Xumeng town and gaoze town in the north, with an area of 195.01 square kilometers and a total population of 147700 in 2011.
Before 1943, the territory belonged to the third district of Rizhao county. In 1950, it was the Fourth District of Wulian County. In December 2000, Shanyang Township and LUOQUAN Township were abolished and merged into Hongning town. In May 2010, the town was withdrawn and Hongning street was set up. As of June 2020, Hongning street has jurisdiction over 16 communities and 65 administrative villages.
In 2011, the total industrial output value of Hongning Street reached 3.621 billion yuan, an increase of 23.9% over the previous year; there were 19 Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size, with 5230 employees. There are 13 enterprises with sales revenue of more than 100 million yuan.
Historical evolution
Before the 32nd year of the Republic of China (1943), the territory belonged to the third district of Rizhao County; in June of the same year, ribei county was established, and the territory belonged to ribei County, with Hongning district.
In August 1945, North County was abolished and put under the jurisdiction of zangma county.
In May 1947, Wulian County was established, which was still called Hongning district.
In 1950, it was the Fourth District of Wulian County.
In January 1958, the whole district was divided into three townships: Hongning, Zhongtong and Songbai.
In September 1958, Hongning commune was established.
In May 1965, 28 villages were divided into Shanyang commune.
In December 1981, the commune was abolished and Hongning town was established.
In December 2000, Shanyang Township and LUOQUAN Township were abolished and merged into Hongning town.
In May 2010, the town was withdrawn and Hongning street was set up.

The ground elevation is generally 150-170 meters, with the highest peak at the top of Daqingshan Mountain, 619 meters above sea level, and the lowest point at Hongning River, 150 meters above sea level.

Hongning street belongs to the Weihe River system. Hongning river is an important river flowing through the urban area. It originates from Daqingshan, the north foot of yehushan, yangjiaan and hongniya in the West foot of Qilian. The river flows northward, through changlan, guojiaya, Hongning to Xilou, and then into the Waibu reservoir. It has a total length of 18.4 kilometers and a total drainage area of 127 square kilometers.
