Wuji town
Wuji Town, subordinate to Rushan City, Weihai City, Shandong Province, is located in the north of Rushan City, adjacent to Xiachu town in the East, Xiacun town in the south, Yazi town and Yuli town in the west, and Muping District of Yantai City in the north, with an administrative area of 109.99 square kilometers.
Before 1941, it was under the jurisdiction of the seventh and eighth districts of Muping County. In May 1984, Wuji town was rebuilt. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Wuji town was 25619. As of June 2020, Wuji town has 35 administrative villages.
In 2018, Wuji town achieved a total industrial and agricultural output value of 3.022 billion yuan. Among them, the total industrial output value was 2.49 billion yuan, and the total agricultural output value was 532 million yuan. The fiscal revenue was 18.21 million yuan, and the total import and export volume was 65 million US dollars, an increase of 44.6% over the previous year. The total income of rural economy was 224500 yuan, and the average annual net income of farmers was 15953 yuan. In 2018, there were 33 industrial enterprises in Wuji Town, including 6 above scale enterprises and 37 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
During the Hongwu Period of the Ming Dynasty, the surnames Lu and Zhu moved from Yunnan to this village. Because the five mountains behind the village were like five dragons, they were named Wuji.
Before 1941, it was under the jurisdiction of the seventh and eighth districts of Muping County.
In 1941, it was the Fifth District of mouhai administrative office.
In 1942, it was changed into the eighth district.
In January 1945, it belonged to the Wuji region of Rushan county.
In 1956, Wuji township was established.
In September 1958, Wuji commune was established.
In May 1984, Wuji town was rebuilt.
