Wanglian Street
Wanglian street, a street under the jurisdiction of Rongcheng City, Weihai City, Shandong Province, is located in the south of Rongcheng City, adjacent to Dongshan street in the East, Chishan street in the south, Hushan and Shangzhuang town in the west, and Tengjia town in the north. The administrative area is 64.13 square kilometers. By the end of 2011, the total population of wanglian street was 16800.
In August 1958, Maling township was abolished and some villages were merged into Chang's hometown; in September of the same year, a commune was established; in October of the same year, it was renamed Chang's commune. In May 1964, the residence of the commune was moved to Wangjiazhuang and lianjiazhuang, and changed its name to wanglian commune. In March 1984, it was renamed wanglian township. In December 1989, the township was removed and wanglian town was established. In April 2001, it was incorporated into Shidao town. In January 2005, wanglian street was established in the village under the jurisdiction of the former wanglian town (1989). As of June 2020, wanglian street has 31 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.
In 2011, the total revenue of wanglian street was 2.3 billion yuan. In 2011, the total output value of agriculture reached 800 million yuan, an increase of 22% over the previous year, and the added value of agriculture accounted for 50% of the GDP of the streets.
History of construction
In April 1940, the Anti Japanese democratic government was established, which belonged to the Sixth District of Rongcheng county. In December of the same year, it was changed to the ninth district.
In March of 1941, the district was withdrawn and set up as a township, belonging to Zhaiqian Township in the seventh district.
In February 1942, it belonged to Longshan district.
In October 1945, it was transferred to Shidao special zone.
In November 1946, it was transferred to Shidao city.
In December 1948, Shidao city was put under the jurisdiction of Rongcheng county.
In September 1950, it was renamed the 11th district.
In March 1951, the township was built under the District, belonging to Dongdao, Qiaogou, Changjia, Dongbei, qiaotouzhuang and other townships in the 11th district.
In April 1954, Shidao county was restored to Rongcheng County, a mountainous area.
In January 1957, it belonged to Chang and Maling townships in Chishan district.
From July 1957 to March 1958, the district was withdrawn and the township was built, belonging to Chang's hometown.
