Xiaoguan town

Xiaoguan Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Wendeng District, Weihai City, Shandong Province, is located in the southwest of Wendeng District, downstream of Huanglei River, Southeast of the sea, adjacent to Rushan City by Huanglei River in the West and Zetou town in the north. The administrative area is 126 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Xiao Guan town was 36445.

In March 1956, it belonged to BOLUO and Xiaoguan Township, Hushan District, Wendeng county. In February 1958, it was merged into Xiaoguan Township, and in September of the same year, Huanghai commune was established. In March 1959, it was renamed Xiaoguan commune. In March 1984, it was changed into Xiaoguan township. In December 1989, it was changed into Xiaoguan town. As of June 2020, Xiaoguan town has one community and 46 administrative villages.

In 2011, the total financial revenue of Xiaoguan town was 74.28 million yuan. In 2011, the total output value of agriculture was 1.06 billion yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 8496 yuan. In 2018, there were 19 industrial enterprises in Xiaoguan Town, of which 8 were large-scale and 25 were comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

Before 1941, the territory belonged to the Ninth District of Muping County.

In March 1941, it belonged to the third district of mouhai county. In 1945, it belonged to the langnuan District of Rushan county.

In March 1956, it belonged to BOLUO and Xiaoguan Township, Hushan District, Wendeng county.

In February 1958, it was merged into Xiaoguan Township, and in September of the same year, Huanghai commune was established.

In March 1959, it was renamed Xiaoguan commune.

In March 1984, it was changed into Xiaoguan township.

In December 1989, it was changed into Xiaoguan town.

Xiaoguan town is located in the southwest of Wendeng District, the lower reaches of Huanglei River, the sea in the southeast, adjacent to Rushan City by Huanglei River in the West and Zetou town in the north. The administrative area is 126 square kilometers.

Xiaoguan town is located in the coastal hills with undulating surface. The hills in the northwest extend to the south of Kunyu Mountain, climbing mountains is the northern barrier, and the southern coast is densely covered with pine forests. The terrain is high in the north and low in the south, with 30% of mountains and hills, 32% of Valley plains and 25% of coastal plains. The highest peak is at hutouling, 266 meters above sea level.

Xubutou site is located 20 meters behind xubutou village in Xiaoguan town. It was found in 1989. The total area is about 18000 square meters. The cultural accumulation is about 20 cm thick. The collected stone tools include axes, pottery includes tripod and handle, mainly red pottery, belonging to Dawenkou Culture type. It is well preserved.
