Liuhang Street

Liuhang street is located in the northeast of Rencheng District, Jining City, Shandong Province, 5 kilometers away from the city. With an area of 51 square kilometers and a population of 36530 (in 2010), it has jurisdiction over 24 administrative villages and 5 communities. It is managed by Jining high tech Zone. It got its name from Liuxing village. In the Ming Dynasty, the village was divided into daliujiazhuang and bancundian villages (the time when the village was built is unknown). In the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, the surname Liu moved to daliuzhuang in Qufu, and the latter two villages merged. Because of the dense willows, the village got its name. It is also said that the surname gets the name, to be tested.

In July 2020, it won the honorary title of national health Township from 2017 to 2019.

Historical evolution

In 1949, it belonged to the north of the Fifth District of Jining county. After 1949, it belonged to the first and fourth districts of Jining county. In 1958, it was under the jurisdiction of Liying and Jiezhuang communes. In 1971, Nanying commune was established. In 1980, it was renamed Liuxing commune. In 1984, it was renamed Liuxing township. In 1994, it was established as a town. In 1997, it covers an area of 51 square kilometers and has a population of 29000. 327 national highway and Xinshi railway cross the border, and the East Ring Road crisscross with rural roads. There are Guangfu River in the west, liaogou River in the East and Yangjia River in the middle. It has jurisdiction over 29 administrative villages including Liuhang, Huangqiao, Chenchang, Wangchang, Guochang, Xuchang, bianchang, Xincun, Luying, Sunqiao, Wangqiao, Yangqiao, dongyangzhuang, Nanying, Caozhuang, Caihuang, Xiaotun, Panzhuang, Xiaodian, Qianli, Houli, takoupu, dongtianzhuang, Caiying, Dongjia, Xijia, Zhongjia, Yangzhuang and fangzhangzhuang. In December 2000, Liuxing town was abolished and Liuxing street was set up as the administrative area of the former Liuxing town. The office was stationed in the former Liuxing town government. On March 19, 2003, Jingning municipal government agreed that Huangzhuang village, Jiangzhuang village, Sudong village, Suxi village and Yanglou village of Liuxing sub district office of high tech Zone should be managed by Jihe sub District Office (without the approval of provincial government).
