Xiliu Township, belonging to Xinhe County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, is located in the southeast of Xinhe County. History of construction
In 1958, it was the Xiliu commune in Ningjin County.
In 1960, it was transferred to Nangong County as Xiliu commune.
In 1963, it became Xiliu commune of Xinhe County.
In 1984, Xiliu commune was changed into Xiliu township.
In January 1996, Xingyan and sutian townships were merged into Xiliu township.

History and culture
Xiliu Township got its name because the township government was stationed in Xiliu village. During the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty (1465-1487), when the immigrants from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province moved here to build a village, there was a Shahe River flowing from east to West in the south, named Xiliu.
Xiliu township has a historic site Tuo's tomb. Located in Dongdong village, Tuo's tomb is one of the first batch of cultural relics under special protection in Xingtai.
