Gegong town is a town under the jurisdiction of Dongzhi County in Anhui Province. Its name comes from "Gegong", which is the honorific name of Ge Hong, a famous Taoist scholar in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. In 2017, the administrative area was 25149 hectares, with a permanent population of 15349.

Original name
Gegong town is named after Gegong.
